who wants to BOYCOTT McDONALD'S with kari-lynn, me and aubryn???

let me set the scene...
thursday night...i need to take my bike into the shop so i can get the brakes adjusted so i can start riding into work...now, to get there, i need the aid of the van...so, i ask kl and abby if they want to go for a ride...we were still much in need of dinner, so i offered to buy mcdonald's if they came with me...
so, we go to the bike shop, get mt bike ready, go outside to find someone had tried to steal our licence plate...no jokes, true story...one bolt was literally pulled out of the van, and the licence plate was bent all to heck...we were stunned!!!
so, after an attempt to straighten the plate, which was successful (i am so strong), we went on our merry little way to mcd's...
we choose the drive-thru...we place our order...a simple order...nothing fancy, only one 'substitution'...
a cheeseburger kid's meal, 2 chicken fajitas, a mcchicken combo (with salad instead of fries...the 'substitution'), and a strawberry sundae...see, SIMPLE!!!
the oder comes to $17.02
so, i give the girl $22.02
that means, $5 change...
she gives us $3...no big deal, we tell her...and she looks around like she doesn't quite know what to do...then, she disappears...she just leaves her till...for 8 minutes...we weren't sure where she went...figured she must have gone to get the manager, but is the manager in another city???
a guy comes to the window and asks if we have been helped and we state we had been, but we were waiting for our correct change...
so, she comes back (by now, there is someone in line behind us), explains that it is really busy up front, and that if we just pull ahead to the next window, she will bring the remaining $2 to us...so, we give her back the $3, so we can just get a $5 bill...makes sense, right???
so, we go to the next window...
out come 2 sundaes...we tell them we only ordered one strawberry, so we took it :)
a couple minutes pass...we receive mcchicken, 2 fajitas, and fries...they apparently thought that was our entire order cause they left the window...so, we waited, and waited some more...then the girl from the first window comes back and gives us our $5...
now we have 1 more item off our list of things to get from mcdonald's...
somebody else comes back...SUPER!!!
and asks us what we are still waiting for???
well, the rest of our order...
oh, what are you missing???
so we tell them, a salad, a cheeseburger kid's meal (with root beer) and a fruitopia (for my meal)...
well, we don't have any salads right now...so, the manager comes to the window states also they don't have any salads, and that she could whip one together for me, but it would not be right...would i like that???
well, i can't help but wonder, how could the salad not be right???
so, whatever, i just take fries...
so, she comes with fries a couple minutes later...and once again, seems to think our order is done...
but, it's not!!!
so, original 2nd window girl comes back, and we tell her AGAIN what we are waiting for...cheeseburger kid's meal (with rootbeer) and a fruitopia...
so, she comes back with a kid's size fruitopia...
do you not have to have a brain to work at mcdonald's???
meanwhile man behind us is still waiting for 2 sundaes...lol (poor guy)
so, we give her back the child fruitopia and get a rootbeer and a regular size fruitopia...
well, we are near having all of our order...just a kid's meal...
we sat, i can't even tell you for how much longer...when the manager comes to the window and asks what part of our order don't we have???
now understand that we have been REALLY REALLY nice...we laughed throughout almost of this cause it is so retarded...
we tell her, a cheeseburger kid's meal...that's all we're waiting for...kid's meal...
so she gives it to us...it had been sitting by the till...how long did we wait for this meal that was sitting right by the till???
then she asks us, are you sure that's all you need???
YES!!! that really is all we are waiting for...
you have your fajitas???
YES!!! we have it all...just waiting for the kid's meal...
well, i have a double order here...so, we have it all sitting here and need to make sure you got everything...
we have it all...we insist :)
and drive away, 20 minutes later, completely frazzled at the experience...
i hope the man behind us did not have as difficult of a time getting his two sundaes...
so, that was our experience at mcdonald's...
