So, it has finally happened.
My baby girl, at 8.5 months old has finally cut her first two teeth...in the same day.
I have been looking and watching for a long time, and we went to the park today, I was feeding her snacks and there they were. I didn't even see them this morning.
I was so excited I actually called Will from the park.
I don't think he was quite as excited as I was.
My Mum was.
Well, she was more like, "It's about time." LOL
Scott was almost 7 months old, I think, when he got his first teeth, so, yeah, I was kinda wondering when she would get hers.
I think she took it like a trooper.
She has had a few rough nights lately, but nothing really worse than normal.
I figure she is so used to being toughened up by her big brother than a couple sharp teeth pusing their way through her skin is child's play. :)
But I tell ya, those teethies are cute.
My girly is growing up.
Did I ever tell you how protective Scott is of his sister??? When she had pink eye, we had to hold her down to put in the eye drops and he stood there yelling at us becuase she was crying.
He sure does love her.
He crawls around on the floor with her...he's taught her how to eat dog food...he shares his toys...he is always trying to crawl into her pack 'n play with her, and if he is not lucky enough to be let in with her, he plays with her through the mesh.
He is just too funny.
I sure am blessed.
Well, I am gonna go clean up now, then tomorrow I have to make 2 batches of nanaimo bars, 4 dozen cookies, pack, go to Jenn's and deliver some nanaimo bars...busy busy.
We (me and the kids) are going up to Concord for Thanksgiving to Will's Uncle and Aunt's house, then spending a few days with my SIL by Sacramento. Should be a fun while away.
Talk to you all again when I get back.

NIKKI!!!

Seriously, girl, if I didn't know any better I would say you wrote this.
It just reminds me of you and the way you type.
Now, being totally honest here, I don't REALLY think this is compliments of Nikki, but if it were, I would so not be surprised.
Nikki has this uncanny ability to just make me laugh. Her writing is so funny and the way she expresses things just cracks me up...and I know she makes so many others laugh, too.
Anyways, I am sure that many of you will appreciate the humour from this blog which I am sure to link on my blog so I can visit it often for a good laugh.
SO, if you want a good laugh (and a glimpse into the life of a typical Mormon), please feel free to read this blog. It is well worth the read.
And I promise...you will laugh.

HAPPY REMEMBERANCE DAY.
We are so blessed to have our freedoms. Let's enjoy them. Let's remember those who have fought (and are fighting) for us to keep those blessed freedoms.

Oh, I love this time of year.
The leaves on the ground. The crisp air. A feeling of peace being outside in the most beautiful weather.
I love autumn. It is by far my favourite season.
I love everything about it.
I always have good intentions to take fall pics of the family and it never happens...and that kinda bugs.
Well, onto other stuff.
What is new???
We got the kid's passports done...YAH!!! They only took a week to get them. That is fantastic. Now we will have no problems at all getting onto flights up to Canada like last time.
Carpet cleaners are coming first thing inthe morning, so I am currently sitting in am apt. that looks like I am moving cause I had to move it all around.
I do so love having clean carpets.
I don't really have tons to say today, but I do want to say I love my family and I am so lucky to have them.
My husband is a good man. I am lucky to have him...but he's just a little bit luckier to have me...lol
He came home this weekend with a dozen long stemmed red roses for me. That was a beautiful way to start the day.
They smell so sweet and I smell them multiple times a day. I just love having them on the table.
Thanks, Honey.
I would post pics, but I haven't uplaoded pics yet (And since I REALLY should be in bed, I'm not uploading them right now). Sorry. But, hey, it's not like you've never seen red roses before...lol
Oh, and some other happy news, we got a new dishwasher today.
It is so quiet.
I had no idea how much quieter a dishwasher from the year 2008 would run compared to a dishwasher from 1987. Dude, I'm not much older than that dishwasher was...lol
I shoulda also informed maintenance that our stove/oven combo is also from 1987, but I don't think he woulda given me a new one...cause this sucker just won't die...lol
Well, I'm starting to get weird cause I am sleepy.
I will write again soon.

TRICK-OR-TREATING FUN

Well, apparently I did not take as many pictures as I had thought I had.
So sad.
But that does not mean I got none.
So, I will share a few.
We had a jolly good time.
Aerin was a pirate.
Scott was Ratatouille.
Solomon was Frodo (from Lord of the Rings).
Believe it or not, someone actually didn't know who Frodo was. I told her he was from Lord of the Rings. "Oh, well, I never watched Lord of the Rings."
Well, then, in that case, I guess you may not know who Frodo is...lol
Christine came trick-or-treating with us.
We started in the complex, and walked one side on our way out. We then went walking through the neighbouring houses. We were probably out for about 2.5 hrs. total.
Scott got so much candy.
A lot of times, when the people would give him candy in his bag (which I was holding) he would hold out his hand for more, and when they would lean down (bucket full of candy in hand) to give him another piece, he would put his hand in the bucket...lol
Other times, he would just keep holding his hand out. And they kept giving him more...even with me saying, "Okay, thanks. That's good enough." lol
He was just so cute, everyone was more than willing to give him more goodies.
Solomon was whining about Scott getting more than him, so we told him he just needed to be more charming when he walked to the doors. We told him what the crab in Little Mermaid said..."You got to bat your eyes like this. You got to pucker your lips like this." We thought that might get him more candy.
But he didn't try it, so we don't know if our theory would have worked...lol
On our way home, we walked up the other side of the complex and got a bit more.
It was lots of fun and I can hardly wait til next year...lol
