HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

well, here it is...the big day!!! (well, it's a smaller day than my wedding, as well as christmas...but it's still a big day!!!)
i am going to finish carving pumpkins today (even though will doesn't like me touching knives...lol...i seem to injure myself when i use them) but the way i see it is that i bought 4 pumpkins with my *cough, cough* hard earned money... (that i took off the counter or from will's wallet) to buy those pumpkins for carving, so dang it, i am gonna carve them :)
i will post pictures tomorrow of our jack-o-lanterns and decorated house...

well, it is about time i post some pics of life here...i cannot post the truck right now cause will took it to work today, but i will do it soon...

Shawnessy is about 9 yrs old now, so she is getting up there...she is an english bull terrier...she loves her people but she sure is not a fan of other animals...she's a good pooch!!!

Living Room-in the living room we are going for a rustic/mission style...we are going to be doing wrought iron and mission style furniture...it matches well with the dk brown leather couches...

Dining Room/Kitchen-in the dining room, we are going to be hanging pics that make you think of Italy...like the Italian countryside...once again, a rustic kinda thing...the kitchen is all stainless steel appliances and there is not a lot of room in there to do anything, so we will leave it as is...

WHAT A DAY!!!

well, i woke up at 6 to take will to work 2day so i could use the truck...
i came home and fell back asleep...to my surprise...and was awakened at 9:15 by my aunt sherry...she needed to talk to me about flying to cali for the wedding and stuff...
i got up...had a shower and then headed to the flower store...they had called yesterday to say they had some amaryllis in and wanted me to come see them, since i had only seen them on the interenet...so, i went in with my ever so cute wedding present from will, yes, the digital camera and she just gave me some to take home and show will instead of having to take a pic...i thought that was very nice...i got free flowers :)
then i went to the post office and purchased a ridiculous amount of stamps for the invitations...which were all overweight, so they cost and extra $0.12 each...so, i spent over $50.00 on stamps...well, my pretty invitations are worth it!!! they are so pretty, after all...
then i came home and put stamps on all the envelopes...wrote return addresses on them all, put grandma's very belated birthday card beside them, took Shawnessy and away we went...
my plan was to drop the cards in the mailbox, then take Shawnny to get her nails clipped, then go back to the post office and get a stamp for grandma's card...cause it was less expensive than the invite stamps...
so, this is what happened...i dropped the cards into the mailbox and started to drive away, when to my amazement...i had put grandma's card in the box...with no stamp...
so, i take Shawnny to get her nails clipped, and then go get gas...(which i coulda got for free, but that is a whole other story) and i am too honest for something like that even had i known...lol
so, it's okay, do i go back to the post office and let them know what happened or just let it get sent back to me and remail it with a stamp???
well, that would be fine, except i realized i had put no return address on it (or, so i believed)...
so, i came home, called will and told him all about it...he told me the card was gone for good...
well, i had to go back to mail a couple more invites that i had just gotten addresses for, and buy a stamp for grandma's new card that i would have to buy, when i decided to take a long shot and ask about the card...
so, out me and a supervisor went to look for the card...
apparently, a lot of people mail a lot of things in the usa...maybe they do in canada, too but i have never had the opportunity to rifle through canadians mail...
so, we dig and dig and search and search...and what do we find...THA CARD!!! yeah!!! i don't think i have ever been so excited in my life...my main fear was having to write something as good as i had written in that card into another card...make sense???
so, anyways...i am now home...hanging out for probably another 30-45 mins before i have to go pick up will...
then, there is a halloween party that we may go to...don't know yet...i guess we will see about that one...

so, tell me what you think of these flowers...
they are the amaryllis and we are thinking of using them in my bouquet...they have them in different shades of red, so i can get darker to match my dress better...

HELP!!!

okay...tomorrow (wednesday) morning we are taking invitation pictures...i know, leaving it to the last minute...literally...
anyways...i have no nice clothes that fit me anymore, hardly...what to wear???
i have one pair of jeans that fit...they are dark...like a light black...should i wear these with a nice form-fitting long sleeve shirt...or maybe a canada t-shirt???
should i wear a pair of board shorts with a t-shirt???
should i try to squeeze into a pair of cargo pants with a long sleeve shirt???

getting ready for halloween...

so, i went to the store tonight after dinner and i bought some pumpkins... they were 4 for $12.00
we decided to design and carve some 2nite...
solomon decided what he wanted for his pumpkin, so will and i each kinda put some ideas in for the design and will carved...but before that, i was the one who scooped all the innards...which for anyone who knows me, may be a surprise...(not a big fan of getting my hands dirty)
anyways, will carved solomon's pumpkin and then we started deigning the next one...
we have decided to go with a tiki god pumpkin...so, i did the designing and i drew the plans on the pumpkin and we will carve it tomorrow...
i took a couple pics so far, so on nov. 1, i will post pics of our halloweenish looking house as well as a couple pics of us carving...
well...i hope to see halloween pics from everybody...

it is true...i got my wedding present tonight...
will bought me a digital camera...
it is soooooo cute...
it's about the length of the palm of my hand (minus the fingers), 1" thick, sony cyber-shot, carl zeiss lens, rechargable lithium battery, 4.1 mega pixels, 3x optical zoom...it is soooooo cute!!! i love it!!!
well, that is my happy news...
i was playing around with it 2nite, but, of course there is very little power in the battery when you buy it, so i am chargine it right now...i will play with it more tomorrow...
he decided to get one for me cause i told him 2nite that i would really regret it if we didn't have pictures with our wedding invites, and since we have no camera...he decided to buy it and give it to me as an early wedding present...which i am totally cool with...cause it is soooooo cute!!! (have i mentioned that yet???)

yes, you read it right...the sprinklers...
that's twice now, not once, but twice that i have been standing there right on the edge of the pavement and the sprinklers have turned on.
they are out to get me!!! and it looks like they are getting me!!!

good day...

well, yesterday ended up being very productive...
we went out to monterey in search of hotels and try to make our final decision on the restaurant...
we found our honeymoon suite, by chance...we were driving around looking for a certain hotel that will thought may have a jacuzzi suite...perfect for the wedding night...and we drove by a hotel that i recognized the name of...i had found it on the internet a month ago, and seemed to recall they had a honeymoon suite, so we stopped in and...IT WAS PERFECT!!!
we loved it, so we booked it!!!
we also were looking into hotels to book rooms at for out-of-town guests, and we have found a couple different ones to work with...
so, that was our productive day...SPLENDID!!!

life is good...

just been working out a lot the past little while...trying to get in shape for the wedding and all...
it's felt so good...
should be heading out to monterey tomorrow again to check out the restaurant and hotel scene out there...things are coming along quite well...
well, gotta go...

wedding plans...

well, things are going alright in this department...will took the day off yesterday so we could do some running around for it...
we have been looking at a couple different reception options...in monterey, or fresno...we looked at the hall yesterday in fresno, and of course we have already seen the restaurant in monterey...
we sat down last night and wrote pros and cons to each option...
we also sat down and wrote out an actual gues list...we wrote all people we want to send announcements to, and marked those we believe would actually come...so that way we can get an approximate count of people...this is good...we are accomplishing stuff...
we found a place to buy square envelopes yesterday...we have decided on wedding favors (3 kinds)...we looked at how we can package 3 wedding favors...we've decided our wedding cake flavors...this is starting to get fun!!!

I HATE BEING SICK...

so, this is day 3, i think...is it tuesday??? nope, wednesday...so, i guess this is day 4 of being iller than a dog that is really ill...where did that saying come from anyways...sicker than a dog??? what a silly saying...
today i woke up around 4 am, i am sure, and all this mucousy stuff poured down my throat...sounds yummy, huh??? hey, anyone reading this is probably a parent already, or gonna be anyways, so you may already know how to deal with this grossness...but as gross as that sounds, it kinda cleared me up a bit...must be the buckley's helping out!!! i can actually inhale now...not perfectly yet, but well enough...
so, my throat is really sore...it hurts to swollow, but not as bad as yesterday...the pain has tensed up my whole jaw, so trying to eat is a task, as was brushing my teeth...then the pain has gone up into my right ear...it totally hurts...
but, like i said...i am doing better than yesterday, which means, tomorrow i should be better than today...i want it to be tomorrow right now!!!

HAPPY CANADIAN THANKSGIVING!!!

yeah...gotta say that if i were to walk around this weekend wishing everyone a happy thanksgiving, i may get a few weird looks...
maybe i should make a special thanksgiving dinner this weekend...that would be quite nice, actually...but not a turkey...i have never cooked a turkey...maybe a pot roast...
well, like i said, to all my fellow CanadianS who may read this...HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

guess it's been a while since i have seen this page...maybe i should blog more often instead of sitting at home all day 'watching oprah and eating bon-bons'..at least that's what will think i do all day :)
things are going all right as of lately...
will and i have both decided it is indeed time to lose weight...we are both at our heaviest weights yet...of which neither of us are proud... we have marked out a 1.7 mi. walk that we think we will do 2x/night...2 laps would make it almost 3.5 mi./night...that'd be good, right??? he's also doing the low carb thing, which doesn't thrill me too much since he needs his energy, but i am supporting him, and it does help him lose weight...he's already lost 5 lbs...i'm glad he has...cause i have yet to :)
i have been trying this online gift registry thing...there's a lot of stuff at the stores...i am working mostly with target, i think...then, maybe i can register at a canadian store, too...i just thought of that :) i am so smart *s-m-r-t' :)
other than that, not a lot new...have to go on thursday and pick up wedding cake samples from the bakery, and she them my idea for a wedding cake and see if they can do it..., i have picked the date and time and place...just need to make sure we book those places now, i ordered the cake topper...all is well...and i am trying to figure out how to build a webpage so we will have somewhere to put wedding picutres for all to see...
