what does he see???
what does he dream about???
I've wondered this since the day he was born...
when he's sleeping, I watch him...since he is usually sleeping in my arms...when he starts to cry in his dream, is he just uncomfortable, or is he having a bad dream??? I guess it's a bad dream...when he is smiling in his sleep, is he having a good dream??? what is it about??? is it about his mama, is it about his daddy or his brother or sister??? is it about Heavenly Father and Jesus who I am sure he remembers vividly???
when he is laying in my arms, and looking past me and reaching his arm out, who is he reaching at??? does he see angels???
I guess these are just thoughts that I have and wonder about...I don't think that I actually expect an answer from anyone since there is no way to know the answers to my thoughts...but I just wanted to put them out there...to express what I was thinking and I imagine that some of you have wondered the same thing about your kids...
just thoughts...

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

well, I know many of you have been buggin' for awhile (but who can blame you???) about seeing pics of my precious little boy :), so here you go...

dang!!! all I can say is I have one heck of a cute kid...and, yeah, anyone who has seen his daddy knows he is a spitting image of him...esp. his nose :)

omigosh!!!
life has been so great since the birth of our son...
I still do not have our computer (Will works on his own time) so this is being done at my mil's house :)
I will give you as much of an update as I can in this short time...
the labour was very easy for me :)
I was admitted Dec. 5 at 8pm...I was given Cervadyl (sp?) to soften my uterus...I was only 3 cm dilated (cause my dr. made me that 1 wk prior by stripping my membranes), and 8 days overdue :)
the cervadyl caused me to start contracting and made me 4 cm dilated...at 4:30am on Dec. 6, they gave me patossin (sp?) in hopes that it would dilate me more...at some point in time around 8am, I think, they gave me the epidural...gotta love the epidural :)
at 1pm, my dr came in and I was still 4cm dilated, so she broke my water and told me that if I did not dilate 1 cm in the next hours and continue that pattern, they would be giving me a c-section since I was having great contractions and getting nowhere...well, at 3pm, the nurse came in and I was 10 cm dilated...apparently the c-section threat works every time ;)
she let me sit for 30 mins to allow Scott to move down the birthing canal more by himself to allow me less pushing...and at 3:45 I started pushing...3 pushes per contraction...
when the dr. arrived at 4 pm I had done 3 sets of 3 (so, 9 pushes)...I pushed once with the dr. and his head popped out, 1 more push and his whole body came out...so, a whopping 11 pushes :) if only everybody had it that easy, right???
I then told the dr., "That was easy!"
I seriously was expecting so much worse...lol :)
since he has been home, life has been great...we get up usually once in the night to feed...he sleeps 3-4 hrs at a time at night, so mama gets some good rest :), I left that shampoo bottle open on the bathroom floor from his first bath and had a nice cleanup to do...lol
he has already peed on his daddy's toothbrush during a diaper change (so daddy had to miss a couple brushings til he got a new one), he peed on me in the dr.'s office, and this kid can smile...and no, it's not gas...cause you hear him when he's got gas!!! lol
he is absolutely precious and I would say that the thing that amazes me most is how much more I love him than I thought I would...I mean, of course I knew I would love him, but it's so much more than I expected...it's overwhelming :)
he is, to me, of course, perfect in every way :)
I couldn't even begin to describe how much I love him and love having him in my life...he is such a blessing to us :)
well, I am hoping to get some more pics up soon...really, I am...my intentions are good :)
please just be patient with me, as I have been trying since we moved to get the computer to our house...
this weekend Will's family is celebrating christmas up at Shaver Lake, so we are heading up there tomorrow...my birthday is on Saturday, and I will be 28 :)
anyways, life is good, sorry for the long post...hope you like the update :)

hey, this is kari-lynn updating for krystin. aubryn says that krystin's crazy. and since we are writing this blog for her, we pretty much get to say whatever we want. although she does want us to mention that the reason she has not updated in so long is because their computer is still at will's brother's house and she does not live across the street from her mil so can't use her computer as easily anymore. after much prodding, she did say that will had just called his brother to let him know that they will be picking their computer up in the next day or so.
if she does not have the baby before thursday, she will be induced then. she is getting very excited, as are we all. we wish they could come up for christmas so we could see the little bean but as long as she gets her computer hooked up soon, then at least we will be able to see pics.
aubryn says we have to go watch a movie now. we may or may not update more later.
ciao!

anything to update you on???
you know, there is actually not a whole lot going on right now...we are, like I said last post, moving on Saturday to our new place...I am SUPER excited about that :)
the weather here has been so miserable, let me tell ya ;) nothing but fog in the mornings, fog at night, and maybe some 60-80 f weather (with sun) during the day (but that's a maybe, not a guarantee)...that would be the approximate equivelant of 16 to 27 c (for all you Canuckers who read my blog)...
fyi, no sun today :)
life is so rough...
I am looking at a couple of the most adorable puppies right now...they are a dark charcoal kinda colour, and I have no idea the breed...but they are so cute...I am, of course, over at my mil's using the comp and she is the president of an animal rescue group here in town, so they are some rescue puppies looking for homes...it makes my heart melt...there's a little golden one at my feet too...wither a yellow lab or golden retriever mix...also so cute :)
my due date is next monday...so 1 week from today...I am crazy excited about that too...it's weird to think sometimes that I am going to be a mummy soon :) how great is that??? I can hardly wait to hold him and kiss him and teach him so much stuff...I wanna play with train sets with him, and throw a football with him...I am just so looking forward to having him with us...and yes, I am aware that my step-son will be all goo-goo ga-ga over him and never wanna stop touching his face and holding him just like he was with Madisyn (my niece)...Camille, I am sure will be the same way...they are both very excited to have a new baby brother...
and I am, of course, so excited to start our own family that will be added to his existing family...
well, I guess that is all for now...I have stuff to do today (I would like to get to the gym to get some contractions going, but maybe I should wait til we are moved...lol)...
well, talk to you all soon :)

ok, so apparently they have changed blogger and it is way confusing now to post...
I am posting a pic of me at 38 weeks prego...I have been being bugged for this for a long time and I finally got the disc drive open today to burn the image onto a disc to get it onto the other comp...so, here it is...

Will and I are doing prego pics today...well, he is taking them of me, anyways...I will probably wait to post some of those for a couple weeks once we have internet on our own comp. and we have moved...that way I don't have to worry about the disc drive not opening for me again...
and, yes, we are moving next Saturday, so I will be just a couple days from me due date...I am very excited to get back into our own place...we need it so bad...
I had another u/s last week and they have told me I can rest easy, that it is most definitely a boy (so I can start taking the tage off of clothes...I have yet to do that)...lol
she even gave me a picture of his area...
I am sorry it has taken me so long to post again...I promise to do better...

I need your help...
here are two pictures of two different plaid patterns...
we are going to order for baby Scott for christmas a baby kilt...now, I do not know which plaid to choose...unfortunately, I am unable to choose the family plaid, Guthrie, since it is not available, so I would like to choose a universal tartan...
the choices are:
Black Watch

Loch Ness

please let me know which you like the best :)

fan-freaking-tastic!!!
is about the only word I can use to describe the concert last night...we had so much fun...
I got lots of pics and lots of video footage...I was unable to get them on the comp today cause my bro-in-law was on the comp so I couldn't get them onto a disc, but I will put them on disc tonight and hopefully figure out the video host thing like Kari-Lynn did and post some pics and video...
tomorrow night is the Falcons game, so that should be way fun!!!
overall, life is good...
we had no trick-or-treaters at our house...strange, really, when you think that my mother-in-law next door has 50 in 45 mins...I was in bed sleeping by 8:30, I think...
what else???
oh, we did get the last Blue Man Group ticket used last night...we called our nephew and he came with us, so that was cool...we all got t-shirts from the concert, we had floor tickets, everything was great!!! I can't wait to show you all pics...they turned out awesome!!!
well, I guess that is about all for now!!!

trying to find a way out...
this kid fascinates me...he has moved in ways and in amounts that I did not know possible...to be honest...
I actually took some video footage of it last night when I was laying in bed watching Seinfeld...it was hysterical...
I didn't get some of the best movements of video, but what I got was good and creepy...like, I'm serious....you know how it looks when you see someone's belly just moving in a weird way cause of a baby in there...it looks like an elien is in there...it is hysterical!!!
I will have to see if there is some way I can post the video on here in the next little bit...it's pretty funky :)
things are good...I am 36 weeks yesterday, I think I have started to have a couple Braxton Hicks, but I don't know for sure...I think he has dropped...I have a couple exchanges to do from the baby shower and to buy the car seat...so, you know, lots of things to do...
I will be calling the apartment complex in the next couple days to see if they have anything available for the end of the month...it will be an awful time to move, but sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do :)
know what I mean???
you know, there's not a whole lot more going on...just trying to get everything done and ready and bought for Scotty and get as much of christmas stuff out of the way as possible...
Blue Man Group concert is tomorrow...we are so totally excited to go :)
it is going to be an absolute blast...sadly, we do have a spare ticket...Camille is not able to come wtih us (she has a school function), so we are desperately trying to find someone to go since I don't want the ticket to go to waste...that would suck...anyone wanna come??? any takers???
well, I will be taking lots of pictures, and as much video as I can (might go buy an extra memory card today to accomodate that)...
oh, yeah...and we are going to the Falcons game on Friday night...my sil won 4 tickets from the Halloween Carnival that my mil held last week for a fundraiser...it should be fun...I've never been to a hockey game...can you believe it??? a Canadian who has never been to a hockey game...scandalous!!! ;)

dirt candle...
ever smell dirt??? well, that is exactly what a candle called 'dirt' smells like...
Will and I went to Monterey for a couple days this week and we went into a candle shop...well, we saw this candle called 'dirt' and were thinking of getting it as a gag gift for someone...well, the lady working at the store apparently liked us and so she just tossed it into our bag and told us we could have it...
well, we burned it (we didn't give it as a gag gift after all), and it definitely smells like dirt...not so sure why someone would want a candle that smells like sirt, but we got it... :)
we got a bit of Christmas shopping done while we were there...figure we may as well try to get it out of the way since that will be a very hectic time for us...know what I mean???
baby shower was good...I can say that the item we got the most of was sleepers...lots and lots of sleepers :) that is basically all we got for clothes, with the exception of a couple onesies and one outfit :) we were definitely spoiled, though...we got some toys, pack 'n play, bottles, baby bath tub, did i mention sleepers yet??? either way, we got lots of great stuff...
I am making the thank you cards for the shower...I made a coupld prototypes last night and Will picked out which one he liked best, so, that is the one I will use...
what else is going on???
haven't scrapped in a few days...been out of town, had the baby shower, the Halloween Carnival...I got in the mail a couple days ago pictures of Madisyn that I will have to get developed to get working on the scrapbook album for her for Christmas...I want to get that done and get it out of the way...it should be relatively easy...it is only going to be a 6" x 6" album, so it will be a lot smaller than I am used to doing, so I should be able to get through it fairly quickly...
Will has given me the go ahead to get prego pics done...he doesn't want to be in them just cause they kinda seem weird to him, but he has said that he will do newborn pics with Scott...and so I am okat with that...
I think Scott has dropped...it doesn't look like it, but he definitely feels lower...I am practically living in the bathroom, it is so uncomfortable to sit, and he just feels lower...I do know he is head down cause I asked the nurse practitioner at my last visit on Monday...only 4.5 weeks to go, but who's counting???
overall, I guess things are good...just plugging along :)

why hit on a prego lady???
I ran to the grocery store a couple days ago...well, technically I drove cause I don't think my cardio could handled a real run, but whatever...you know what I mean...and I'm walking in and some guy checks my out and is like, "Hey, there"
like, should I be flattered or dumb-founded??? if I was to say something, would it be, "Hey, you wanna be my baby's daddy?"...cause apparently a protruding belly in this part of CA does not imply any sort of a commitment to another human being...
I opted to say nothing and keep walking...fyi!!!
my life is scrapbooking...
ask anyone and they will probably tell you this is what my life is aobut right now...I have been working on the wedding album and it is looking great...obviously, have not posted anything yet...but I will work on that :) PROMISE!!!
what else is going on???
this baby is losing space in there...
I am now at the point of pregnancy where he can contort the shape of my belly and he sticks his head or butt out...it is so cool...I can actually push on my belly and fel him...like, even if he is not pushing on me, I can find him in there...even an arm or a leg...it is so COOL!!! I love it!!! I am going to miss it crazy amounts!!! Will got to feel him today...I was able to put his hand on my belly and find Scotty in there for him to feel...it was really neat :)
new due date is Nov. 27...it took a bit of begging and pleading, but it paid off in the end :) so, if I go late, I will be 10 days late from Nov. 27, instead of Dec. 6...I can handle that...the sooner the better...
baby shower is on Saturday, so just a couple more days...I am very excited about that :)
ordered my cloth diapers from Canada, cause apparently the USA has not caught up to us yet and are still using pinned diapers...and if you can find velcro/snap ones, they are $15 - $18 a piece...holy scam!!! I'll pay $10 CAD, thank you very much :) so excited to get them in the mail...after the baby shower, we will go out and buy the other stuff we need...but let's see what the shower brings in first...
we think we have found a place to live, so that is very good :)
overall, life is good...
update you again soon :)

I dream a dream...
that one day I will have a house with a scrapbook area that I don't have to clean up after every time I scrap...
only 6 weeks to go
well, with a new due date, I only have 6 weeks left...pretty amazing, huh???
it is getting close and he is definitely losing space in there...
I will miss all the movements in there, but I look forward to being a mummy and raising a wonderful little boy :)
scrapbook, scrapbook, scrapbook...
it seems like it is one of the only things I do during the day...I am currently working on our wedding album and I am very impressed with it so far...I have 3 pages done, and I am working on 4 & 5 today...
Will thinks I have a natural talent for it and he likes the pages...
maternity pictures...
well, Will hasn't said 'yes' yet, but he hasn't said 'no', either...lol
I am really hoping that we can do these as it is such an important thing to me...they are, surprisingly, inexpensive if you go to rhe right place...
baby registry
how exciting...stuff has been bought off my registry...this is so great!!!
Christmas
I should not even be thinking about this yet, but I am admittedly very excited...especially for MIchelle's gift to me...apparently, I will jump around clapping my hands like a little school girl whe I open it cause it is so perfect for me...I can hardly wait :) oh, yeah, and apparently, Will is supposedly unable to top it, so maybe he will get in on the competition and try to beat it and it will be an extra merry christmas to me...lol

Happy Thanksgiving, Canada
to celebrate today, Will and I went to Marie Callendar's and ate a turkey dinner (for lunch)...
we had turkey, potatoes, stuffing, veggies, gravy and cranberry sauce...
Will also had a trukey soup and I had a salad...
it was really nice to celebrate it even though my in-laws all laughed at me cause they think it's so funny to have Thanksgiving in October (like I chose that day or something) :)
lol

EWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!! grodey!!!
so, Will and I went to the gym today and I was watching a coolege ball game...well, I musta been on commercials cause I looked over at another tv and saw a totally grodey commercial...lol
it was a toy...a dog, and possibly even a cat (i don't remember)...
anyhoo, I think the toy was called something like Lick 'n Love or something like that...
you obviously insert water somewhere, and it licks you and it feels real cause the water drips off the tongue...
like, EWWWWWWWWW!!!
I was so creeped out by that...
it actually showed the dog sitting there with water dripping out of his mouth as it salivated and drooled on the floor...
I don't like my own dog licking me on the face, let along a toy dog...

life is grand
things are going really well right now...
my tummy is growing and the arrival date of little Scott is getting closer by the minute...now, I can't recall for sure if 39 or 40 weeks is considered term, but I wanna go with 39, so that would be 7.5 weeks from today...how cool is that??? now the question is, am I ready???
I'm working on that...lol
a friend of mine from church offered to lend me her bassinet as well as swing...how nice will that be??? I have people that I just met yesterday who all want to come to the shower, too...
we got word from immigration that one set of our paperwork has been approved, so I am guessing that is good news :) we are going to be sending that out to our lawyer on Monday...
we bought a motorcycle yesterday for Will so that I will have a vehicle accessible to me at all times...and it will be a lot less on gas...he will drive the motorcycle (obviously) and I will drive the truck...I don't use it that much, so, yeah, gas will be less...that'll be super nice, too...I mean, right now the prices are at $2.49/gallon, but who knows how long they will stay down, right???
I have been working out at the gym...so nice :) I had a trainer, so she has been helping me and I will work with her again after Scott is born...I found out, though, that I should not work out for 6 weeks, at least, after...it makes sense, but I hadn't thought of it...I just kinda figured I could get right back into it...yeah, NO!!! :)
I have scrapped tons of stuff...I have done 3 pages and 5 cards...Nicole's VERY VERY VERY late birthday card is among those 5...lol
better late than never, though, right??? ;)
I have narrowed my christmas list down to pretty much all scrapbooking stuff...
as soon as I get a wedding scrapbook, I will be able to scrap that, too...I can hardly wait to do that :)
I want to go get some professional maternity pics done...sitting fee is $75 and pictures are sold a la carte, so I don't have to buy a whole package, and I would love to have pics with Will...I mean, he can take all the pics he wants of me, since he was a photography minor, but it would be hard to get some great shots with him in it, if he's taking the pics...kwim???
of course you do!!!
well, i guess that is all for now :)

what to say today???
not a whole lot...
i have finished my registeries at both Babies 'R Us as well as Target...
I mangaged to get Will to go in with me to Babies 'R Us cause we had to pick a car seat that would fit in the stroller...from there he went to the baby clothes section and proceeded to pick out a bunch of outfits...it was so cute :)
he picked out flannel, overalls, cargo pants, couple jackets, a church outfit, shoes...Scott's going to be so cute in all his new clothes...I can hardly wait to get more from the shower...
my tummy is really starting to hurt now...I am almost 31 weeks...crazy, huh??? the time has just flown by...it's amazing...I am, of course, finally getting bigger...but am still quite small, imo :) but the stretch marks have started...luckily that cocoa butter cream that Michelle used is working for me, too...it is actually lightening the stratch marks, too...
now, I have gotten pictures into the computer, so soon I will be able to post some pics...I just have to go buy some CD-RW's now to burn them to and then I will post...
I got a scrapbooking magazine a couple days ago...I found some really cool stuff that I want...Xyron has a shape/tag cutter...how cool is that??? I totally want it...and an anywhere hole punch...I loved some of the ideas that I got from this magazine (Scrapbooks etc.)...
now a whole lot else going on...I got on the net today cause I have to email my sil addresses to send baby shower invites to...I went and visited my friend Nicholle today...her little boy is adorable :), went and picked up a few things and I bought Will a present today...it is not a Christmas gift, just an "I love you" gift...
there is a man, I cannot recall his name, who was in the Italian mafia...he then joined the Mormon Church...well, he has written a book about it, Mafia to Mormon, and will also be in town in a couple of weeks to talk about his conversion to the church and what all he left behind...well, Will really wants to go see him when he comes, and earlier in the afternoon, he will be doing a book signing, so I bought him the book...I will give it to him when he wakes up...I think he will like it...
well, I guess that is all for now...
like I said, I will get pics in asap...if I had been thinking, I would have picked up some CD-RW's today, but didn't think of it, so maybe tonight or tomorrow I can do that :)

things are good...
life has been crazy busy...
will and I went away to Monterey and Sacramento for a couple of days...he had worked 18 days straight and he needed to get away, so we did...it was really really nice...we went to the spot where we got married, went to the Wharf and to Cannery Row...and, of course, sat by the ocean...
we went to Sacramento area to take Christine to dinner for her birthday and that was really nice...we got to see her new house which is way gorgeous...
she is throwing my a baby shower so I have registered at Babies 'R Us and I am going to also register at Target...
you know, there was so much to say and since I haven't been here for a while, I have forgotten most of it...
they may move my due date up to as early as Nov. 25...but, really, that doesn't mean much, cause the baby will come when he is darned ready...hopefully it will be sooner than later, though...the less he weighs, the better :)
I have started to get stretch marks now...just really small ones down at the bottom of my belly...I guess that vitamin E lotion didn't help...maybe it did...maybe I would have had more had I not used it...but I am now using what Michelle used...Palmer's Cocoa Butter from Walmart..and surprisingly, it has actually lightened the redness a bit...maybe it will even help prevent some (like she says it did for her)
life is good, overall...
things are working out for us, even though they are not all the way we had planned...but life is like that, right???
i have got some scrapbooking in...I have realized I really like Heidi Swapp's stuff...we bought some at Costco for me and using it helped me create the type of page I have always wanted to...as soon as I figure out how I can get them onto the comp, I promise I will...but that may not be for a couple months...who knows!!!
anyhoo...I guess that is all for now since I cannot remember anything else I had to tell you...

what to say today???
I think one of the most amazing parts of being pregnant is watching the baby move inside me, which, in turn makes my stomach move...
it is so neat...and every time it happens, I want to see it...and I want to see it every time he does it :)
if i am sitting reading a magazing or watching tv, and I see it out of my peripheral vision, I sit there and wait to see it happen again...and when it happens, I keep watching to see it again and again...
it fascinates me...truly, it does :)
I think that is the thing I will miss the most once I have baby Scott...
another cool thing, though...I found out that the hospital I will be delivering at plays a lullaby over the intercom every time a baby is born...
how cool is that???
so, workers in the hospital, and anybody who is there at the time, will hear a lullaby being played numerous times throughout the day and know that a baby has just been born...I think that is really neat...
Will and I are probably going to head out to Monterey this weekend...he needs a couple days away...he has worked the past 18 days straight, with some of those days being 12 hrs., and getting as little as 3 hrs. of sleep...
he took an extra day off at the end of his scheduled 2 days offm to make it 3, just so he could have more time away, which I feel he totally deserves and most definitely needs...
his christmas present came in the mail today...and it is absolutely gorgeous...even nicer than I expected...I love those surprises...
well, I guess that is all for now :)

WE GOT TICKETS!!!
well, we got 'em...floor tickets to The Blue Man Group...sadly, we did not get as close to the front as we had hoped, but we are on the floor...at the back...but, nonetheless, on the floor :)
(trying to be optimistic here)
got my stoller set up, and i took pics of it, but the cord to our printer is missing, so i can't get the pics into the computer...as soon as i find the cord (if i can find the cord), i will get the pics in and show you a pic...but, if you don't want to wait, just go to ebay.com, look up jeep liberty stroller, and you should be able to find one in a bright baby blue (the colour i got)...
anything else new???
it is Christine's birthday today...she is my sil...so, Happy Birthday, Christine (I already sang to her this morning)...it was a beautiful song :)
got a few birthdays coming up in the next month, so I will have to be on my toes to make sure I don't miss any :)
wish me luck...
well, don't know what else to say for now...
i just finished watering the lawn (laid sod yesterday, so it needs to stay wet), and am doing laundry...
we went to the Highland Games in town yesterday...so much fun...got Kari-Lynn's christmas present...custom made (so you'd better like it!!!)
and, yeah, may be heading down to the games down in Ventura, CA in a couple weekends...but only time will tell :)
well, I am gonna go check up on other blogs now and do what I gotta do b4 I head back home to do my stuff :)

glad I checked...
apparently Blue Man Group tickets go on sale tomorrow...NOT in October...
good think I checked...they are coming to town in November and Will and I really want to go with the kids...I am so excited...
oh, yeah...and Will and I are going to go on a babymoon...a nice trip, just the two of us, b4 baby Scott arrives...we don't know where we will go as of yet, but it will be an actual planned trip...I am thinking either Monterey, Vegas or Tahoe...we aren't gonna go real far, cause of $$$, but it sure will be nice to get away...on a real planned vacation...
we will probably plan on that in early November...that way it is still early enough b4 my due date...
as of yet my stroller has not arrived, so I am not going to be on the computer long, so I can make sure to be home if UPS knocks on my door...
oh, yeah...and I started my baby registry yesterday...so far I only have 3 things in it, but, hey, it's a start, right???
I think I will register at Target (of course) and Babies 'R Us (suggested I register here)...YAH!!! I'm having a baby :)
so, I should get going, but I thought I would give you another update on life...
talk to you soon...
miss everyone :)

life is good
things are going well here...
not a whole lot is new, though...
my stroller is scheduled to arrive tomorrow...VERY excited!!!
I joined the gym this week with Will...he was already a member, so I joined with him...I have an appt. with a trainer tomorrow to get me started...I don't wanna go too gung-ho or dp anything I shouldn't, so I will have the trainer for 3 appts...
baby Scott is moving around a lot...he is very active...I went to the ob/gyn last week...the nurse practitioner measured my uterus and made the comment, "You sure there's only one in there?"...apparently, baby Scott is measuring long...she has said that he is very healthy and moves a lot...well, I coulda told ya that...lol
I am not very big, though...common consensus is that I look about 4-5 months pregnant...(i am now just over 6 months)...but hey, that means fewer stretch marks...so I can handle that :)
my sil is busy planning the baby shower...the guest list is getting quite large, I must say...but I won't complain...lol
it will be a lot of fun :)
I ordered Will's christmas present a couple days ago...we bought tons of stocking stuffers for Camille and Bria (niece) already...
sil, Christine, has her birthday in 3 days, so I gotta get on that...
we started looking at apartments to move into in a couple of months...we have only actually looked at one so far, but we still have some time...
you know, I had so much to tell ya, and now I can't remember it all...
as soon as I get my stroller i will try to post pics...
oh, yeah, since Will has a minor in photography, I asked him if he would take some pregnancy snapshots of me...he said he would :) I don't think I will do them for another month or so, though, cause I just don't really look pregnant enough just yet...I can hardly wait to do those :)
well, I guess that is all for now...
toodles...
K
just as a side note...i am a fast typer...i typed all that in 4 mins...GO GIRL!!!
things are going well here...
not a whole lot is new, though...
my stroller is scheduled to arrive tomorrow...VERY excited!!!
I ordered Will's christmas present a couple days ago...we bought tons of stocking stuffers for Camille and Bria (niece) already...
sil, Christine, has her birthday in 3 days, so I gotta get on that...
we started looking at apartments to move into in a couple of months...we have only actually looked at one so far, but we still have some time...

it's about time...
that i updated my blog...
i mean, Crud!!! when was the last time you all heard from me...
sorry about that...apparently we do not ahve internet available at our house...well, Will's brother's house, really...the way this city is set up is retarded...
apparently, if you live too far away from "the box", whether or not you are in the city, you cannot have high speed internet...or cable internet...only dial-up (and Will has no desire to get it...I would settle for it...meaning, i would take it over not having any...lol)
anyways,a pparently, we live too far from "the box"...now my mother-in-law does not live too far from "the box" and she lives next door to us (yes, i am currently living next door to my mil)...but at least i am not in the trailer in her yard... :)
always looking on the positive side...that's me...
anyhoo, she ahs internet, but i have felt kinda weird asking her to borrow it...until today...
i needed to let you all know that i am indeed alive and have arrived safe and sound back in the great state of California...
things really are going well here...
Will felt baby Scott kick for the first time on Aug. 29 (the night after i got here)...Scott is a little turkey...he will kick and kick and kick hard...so, i tell Will, put his hand on mu tummy, and Scotty stops kicking...and will not kick again until Will's (or wahtever individual's hand is there) hand is removed...but Will did manage to feel one good kick :)
things are going well with paying off bills...that is why we are staying whith his bro (so we can pay off bills and save money)...
i wish Nikki could be here...when we had Aubryn's b-day party at the Edmonton Humane Society, Nikki had said if they found a small dog they loved, they would adopt it...
well, imo, there was a great lack of small dogs there...but we ahve so many here...at ARF that is...
that's the animal rescue my mil works for...
so many cute and great little dogs that I am sure Nikki and family would love...
my personal favorite is Hero...
he's so cute and I love him :)
what else is going on here???
I LOVE TARGET!!!
I've been in a couple times already and today was one of those times :)
you know what I love most about target??? the $1 section...
I mean, you can get way cool scrapbook stuff for a buck...how fantastic is that??? I got stickers and metal charms and ribbon and rub-ons...all kinds of great stuff for $1 each...FANTASTIC!!!
crud!!!
I can't even think of all the stuff I need to update you all on...
I am buying my stroller today from eBay...it is going to be the Jeep Liberty in a bright blue...i LOVE it!!!
Christine (my sil) is throwing me a baby shower and planning it for the end of Oct/early Nov...I am so excited...
all in all, life is so good!!!
i promise to try harder to keep updated...but since i do not want to use my mil's internet every day, it may not, ok, it WILL not be as frequently as in the past...not until after we move into our own apartment (mid Nov/beg. Dec) and we get our own internet...
so, until we meet again...
toodle-loo :)

i am loving this being pregnant thing...
it is so awesome...the whole miracle behind it all...
i think, and i may not think this later in pregnancy, that my favourite thing is feeling him kick me...
i don't know what his choice for sport will be in life, but i can see him trying forms of martial arts, soccer, football...anything that reqires kicking...lol
love the thumps first thing in the morning...
i even love how at night time if he starts to get a bit worked up and kicking, he listens to me when i tell him it's bedtime...
i can only wish that it will be like that in real life...lol
it has been great staying with my sister and her new baby, Maigan...it has been great practice for when Scott get here...

it's catastrophic...it's tragic...it is a part of me...
whatever shall i do???
how will i live without my inny belly button???
it will soon be an outy...
i guess it was only a matter of time til it started to disappear...but it will be back...
that makes me happy :)

birthday girl
well, on August 13, Aubryn turned 7...
for her birthday party, we went to the Edmonton Humane Society, so all presents brought were for the animals there...
we went to a park first, lets all the kids play, played games, ate birthday cake (made by grandma), and opened presents...
pictured below is the very cool cake, all the presents for the animals and, of course, the birthday girl getting to hold a kitten at the EHS...

all in a day of Heritage Days...
i love Heritage Days...it is the one festival that i make a point of going to every year...something draws me to it year after year...even though i know what countries will be there, even though i know that not all the countries will sell stuff, but just display items from their country, even though i know the food will be the same as last year...i must go anyways :)
one thing you must go for, of course, are the 'elephant ears'...pure goodness, let me tell you :)
the largest ones seemed to be coming from Poland...the line-up was totally worth the wait...seeing the size of some of those things coming out of that booth, made the wait worth it...
we joked amongst each other (richard, me and chris) about how upset we would be if we got scammed by getting a small one...
so, we get up there, and we mention that size does matter...lol
so, the lady tells the lasdy next to her to give richard big ones...i told her i was feeding a baby, too, so i, too, needed a large one...
richard was more than just a little jealous...his 3 were 1/3 the size of mine...it was, no jokes, 12" wide each way...
you could only begin to imagine the looks i got as i walked away from the Poland booth with that in hand...
of course, i took a picture to show you...(and, yes, i wore a lot of that sugar)

that's a whole lotta dough :)
and, of course, how can you go to Heritage Days without getting a picture of the 'mullet of all mullets'?
i mean, this mullet is HOT!!!
i actually followed this woman with my camera in order to get this fantastic shot of such a wonderful portrayal of Canadian pride...cause we all know that the Canadian Passport is also known as the mullet...hee hee :)
it really is a shame i couldn't have discreetly got a pic of another mullet lady in McD's 2day, as well...
drum roll, please...

got duct tape?

kari-lynn and i saw this car when we were shopping in South Edmonton Common...
clearly the owner of this vehicle is the king or queen of duct tape (but i would guess king)...you know, if it wasn't such a nice car, i'd almost be willing to guess that it could be Red Green's car, but since it is a nicer model car, i would say maybe the owner is Red Green's 2 times removed nephew's, pet beavers, twin brother's owner...
(now those of you who don't know who Red Green is will go google him, right???...but if you are Canadian, you will know who he is...and if you don't, you shame me and you couldn't actually be a real canadian, just a poser...j/k...lol)

allow me to introduce my new niece...
yes, NIECE...
SHE is here...
SHE was supposed to be a HE...at least that's what the parents were told... :)

a name has not been picked as of yet, being as every one is still shocked and well, we were expecting a boy...
she weighed 7 lb 4 oz...
don't know length or time born :)

i had a dream last night...
it was my wedding day...
it was so beautiful...the lights and how everything was set up...
i had my hair all done up...beautiful long hair done in loose curls just hanging down with a bit pulled up on top...
my tiara, my veil...
and i got to get into my dress...
the dress that was lost for my wedding a few months back...
the dress that i spent countless nights crying over because it was lost...
the veil that was lost...the tiara that was lost...
and i felt so beautiful...
i felt beautiful...the way i feel when i am with will...something i lose when he is not here with me...
he always makes me feel so beautiful...and i am grateful for that :)
i love you, will

who wants to BOYCOTT McDONALD'S with kari-lynn, me and aubryn???
let me set the scene...
thursday night...i need to take my bike into the shop so i can get the brakes adjusted so i can start riding into work...now, to get there, i need the aid of the van...so, i ask kl and abby if they want to go for a ride...we were still much in need of dinner, so i offered to buy mcdonald's if they came with me...
so, we go to the bike shop, get mt bike ready, go outside to find someone had tried to steal our licence plate...no jokes, true story...one bolt was literally pulled out of the van, and the licence plate was bent all to heck...we were stunned!!!
so, after an attempt to straighten the plate, which was successful (i am so strong), we went on our merry little way to mcd's...
we choose the drive-thru...we place our order...a simple order...nothing fancy, only one 'substitution'...
a cheeseburger kid's meal, 2 chicken fajitas, a mcchicken combo (with salad instead of fries...the 'substitution'), and a strawberry sundae...see, SIMPLE!!!
the oder comes to $17.02
so, i give the girl $22.02
that means, $5 change...
she gives us $3...no big deal, we tell her...and she looks around like she doesn't quite know what to do...then, she disappears...she just leaves her till...for 8 minutes...we weren't sure where she went...figured she must have gone to get the manager, but is the manager in another city???
a guy comes to the window and asks if we have been helped and we state we had been, but we were waiting for our correct change...
so, she comes back (by now, there is someone in line behind us), explains that it is really busy up front, and that if we just pull ahead to the next window, she will bring the remaining $2 to us...so, we give her back the $3, so we can just get a $5 bill...makes sense, right???
so, we go to the next window...
out come 2 sundaes...we tell them we only ordered one strawberry, so we took it :)
a couple minutes pass...we receive mcchicken, 2 fajitas, and fries...they apparently thought that was our entire order cause they left the window...so, we waited, and waited some more...then the girl from the first window comes back and gives us our $5...
now we have 1 more item off our list of things to get from mcdonald's...
somebody else comes back...SUPER!!!
and asks us what we are still waiting for???
well, the rest of our order...
oh, what are you missing???
so we tell them, a salad, a cheeseburger kid's meal (with root beer) and a fruitopia (for my meal)...
well, we don't have any salads right now...so, the manager comes to the window states also they don't have any salads, and that she could whip one together for me, but it would not be right...would i like that???
well, i can't help but wonder, how could the salad not be right???
so, whatever, i just take fries...
so, she comes with fries a couple minutes later...and once again, seems to think our order is done...
but, it's not!!!
so, original 2nd window girl comes back, and we tell her AGAIN what we are waiting for...cheeseburger kid's meal (with rootbeer) and a fruitopia...
so, she comes back with a kid's size fruitopia...
do you not have to have a brain to work at mcdonald's???
meanwhile man behind us is still waiting for 2 sundaes...lol (poor guy)
so, we give her back the child fruitopia and get a rootbeer and a regular size fruitopia...
well, we are near having all of our order...just a kid's meal...
we sat, i can't even tell you for how much longer...when the manager comes to the window and asks what part of our order don't we have???
now understand that we have been REALLY REALLY nice...we laughed throughout almost of this cause it is so retarded...
we tell her, a cheeseburger kid's meal...that's all we're waiting for...kid's meal...
so she gives it to us...it had been sitting by the till...how long did we wait for this meal that was sitting right by the till???
then she asks us, are you sure that's all you need???
YES!!! that really is all we are waiting for...
you have your fajitas???
YES!!! we have it all...just waiting for the kid's meal...
well, i have a double order here...so, we have it all sitting here and need to make sure you got everything...
we have it all...we insist :)
and drive away, 20 minutes later, completely frazzled at the experience...
i hope the man behind us did not have as difficult of a time getting his two sundaes...
so, that was our experience at mcdonald's...

likes and dislikes...
so, yesterday i discovered a like and dislike of the baby...
let me tell you a story...
i was sitting in church...and i was restless, a little tired, not really bored, and uncomfortable...well, when i get this way, i tend to bounce my left leg...you know, for something to do...to move a bit without being disruptive...or so i though...
i'm bouncing my leg and this *thump* in my stomach...by far the most intense kick i have felt so far...i keep bouncing my leg...15 seconds later, approx... *thump*...well, now this is kinda funny...so, whatever, no biggie, i keep bouncing my leg...probably another 15 seconds later *thump*...this kid is apparently trying to tell me something...
and that something is that i am disturbing it...they always say third time's a charm...
so, the likes and dislikes...
dislikes it when i bounce my leg and disturb him/her...
likes it when i stop :)
see, you learn something new every day...
so, yesterday i discovered a like and dislike of the baby...

this is the life...sort of
i have today, monday and tuesday off work this week...(last week i had tues, wed and i thought that was great)
but, nope....not compared to this week...3 whole glorious days off work (and of course i had a dream last night of being called in early sunday morning)...but it was only a dream...
will is due to arrive sometime 2nite...i am guessing between 8pm and 12am...i am hoping it's closer to 8pm, cause i have issues with staying up late...i'm no good at it :)
i have been feeling the baby kicking a lot lately...i only feel it when i am sitting or laying down relaxing...not when i am up moving around...it's still too soft of a kick to notice then :)
my friend nicole and i work great together at work...we are in the process of doing some merchandising of the store...we got paired together on friday to remerchandise the tool section...and it looked hot!!! it took us probably about 6 hours...longer than spencer to do the applianc aisle (but ours looked way better...seriously...ask anyone)
then yesterday, cause we did a good job friday, he put us together again to do the 'relaxation'/baby aisle...that's what i'll call it...candles, massagers, pillows...that kinda thing...
spencer even told us that he was jealous that our aisles looked better than his...it really did look good :)
michelle and tony and madisyn are coming up this week, too...they come on wednesday and then have to leave monday...so, a kinda short visit...then we will get to see our new niece...
well, i guess that is all for now...
doing laundry and hanging out for now...
til next time :)

first...
so, last night i was laying on my bed talking on the phone, and rubbing my tummy when i felt what felt like a bubble hit the inside of my stomach...
it was the baby kicking...it was so neat to feel...
it wasn't by any stratch of the imagination strong, and my hand didn't feel it, but i felt it on my belly and it was cool...
so, that is my cool story for the day...
i got to feel the baby kick last night for the first time :)
last...
today was kari-lynn's last day of work...fits of jealous rage are going on here right now :)

we decided to go to sherwood park and watch the fireworks with nikki, russ and kia...
i am so glad we did...they were awesome this year :)
i love the fireworks and always have and i am sure i always will...
O Canada! Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all thy sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise
the True North strong and free
From far and wide, O Canada,
We stand on guard for thee.
God keep our land
Glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee,
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee!

so, i am back from BC now and it was so great...
it was so wonderful to see and be surrounded by family and friends :)
we got there friday night...that night they had what they called 'tapas and spirits', so it was basically a night of appetizers, drinks and mingling...i had a lot of gingerale and visited with family that i had not seen in a really long time...
saturday was a day of relaxing by the pool...getting some sun (which i got plenty of)...about an hour b4 the wedding, everyone left the poolside to go get ready for the wedding :) i think all the girls did a great job of being ready in under an hour...GO GIRLS!!!
the wedding was beautiful...it was outside, and it was a very simple ceremony...it was beautiful with the mountain surrounding us...
after that was kinda like a cocktail hour, i guess...everyone mingled, had some appetizers, just hung out :)
there were some introductions of the wedding party, a couple speeches, and then dinner stations were set up...
it was, all-in-all, a very casual event...but very beautiful...the room was lit with candles and dim lights (i will post a couple different pics below)
saturday was a very emotional day for me, though...it was really hard being there without will...then you add the pregnancy hormones, and those are just the icing on the cake :) my cousin, Jen, went to take a pic of me with Cam, the cousin that just got married, and i just started to cry...out of the blue...i cried, i think, 4 times at the reception...would be talking to someone, then i would just start to cry...i t was a very emotion day...
sunday, we went to meet everyone at the lodge for brunch (never had any though), i went to the pool instead...today i put on sunscreen, though...
i played with the kids in the pool and just hung out...great fun :)
we left right around 1pm and went with Jen and her family to the Frank Slide Interpretive Centre...it was neat to learn about the slide that destroyed this town so many years ago...i will post pics of those too probably later today...
well, i guess that is all for now...
now for some pics from the weekend :)
so, this is the kiss...obviously

this is some of the candle lighting that i was talking about

this is all the cousins on our side that were at the wedding...
in the back from l to r is Greg, Adrian, Justin, Cam...then the front from l to r is Cam (the married one), Sarah, Amy, Jen and me, Krystin

wow...
can you believe that i am 16 weeks pregnant today??? it's amazing...
such a miracle this whole pregnancy has been...getting pregnant 5 weeks after miscarrying, at a time of month when it seems not possible, being away from will and only seeing him once a month, every ache and pain that scared me, now here i am ...in the second trimester...i have had one ultrasound, and seen the baby there, and i have heard it's heartbeat...i am glad will got to be there for that :) i will be having another ultrasound on july 11, maybe earlier if i can, and then we should be able to tell if it is a boy or girl...
i get to go to Fernie, BC this weekend...my cousin is getting married and i am able to get the time off work and go...i am so excited to get to go see everyone (all my cousins and aunties and uncles)...how fun will that be???
other than that, there is not a whole lot going on in my life for now...
will and solomon are probably coming up sometime next week, so they can be here for Canada Day...that would be so fun :)
well, i guess that is all for now...
talk to you all later...

first craving...
it was thursday night, around 10 pm...
i am talking on the phone to Will and the unthinkable happened...ok, i guess it isn't unthinkable, but i was wondering how long it would take...
well, it took 15 weeks of pregnancy to finally get the first craving...
and it was BAD!!!
i mean, i needed that craving satisfied...SOON!!!
so, at 10 pm, thankfully we live really close to a grocery store (and it is open til 11) cause i might have died otherwise...
wanna know what it was???
steamed asparagus and steamed baby carrots...
no jokes...
i am being dead serious...
it's no pickles and ice cream, but some consider it a weird craving (but most liked the sound of it)
and it was DIVINE!!!
plus, i found out 2 new ways to cook asparagus 2nite...so, i will have to try those recipes out, cause i got a good amount of asparagus sitting in the fridge now...
mmmmmmmmmmm, asparagus and baby carrots :)

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY: Company Policy
Dress Code
It is advised that you come to work dressed according to your salary. If we see you wearing Prada shoes and carrying a Gucci bag, we assume you are doing well financially and therefore, you do not need a raise. If you dress poorly, you need to learn to manage your money better so that you may buy nicer clothes; therefore, you do not need a raise. If you dress just right, you are where you need to be and therefore, you do not need a raise.
Sick Days
We will no longer accept a doctor's statement as proof of sickness. If you are able to go to the doctor, you are able to come to work.
Personal Days
Each employee will receive 104 personal days a year. They are called Saturday and Sunday.
Surgery
Operations are banned. As long as you are employed here, you need all your organs. Do not consider having anything removed. We hired you intact. To have something removed constitutes a breach of employment.
Bereavement Leave
This is no excuse for missing work. There is nothing you can do for dead friends, relatives or co-workers. Every effort should be made to have non-employees attend to the arrangements. In rare cases where employee involvement is necessary, the funeral should be scheduled in the late afternoon. We will be glad to allow you to work through your lunch hour and subsequently leave one hour early.
Toilet Use
Entirely too much time is being spent in the toilet. There is now a strict three-minute time limit in the stalls. At the end of three minutes, an alarm will sound, the toilet paper roll will retract, the stall door will open, and a photograph will be taken. After your second offense, your picture will be posted on the company bulletin board under the "Chronic Offenders" category. Anyone caught smiling in the picture will be sanctioned under the company's mental health policy.
Lunch Break
Skinny people get 30 minutes for lunch, as they need to eat more so that they can look healthy. Normal size people get 15 minutes for lunch to get a balanced meal to maintain their average figure. Chubby people get 5 minutes for lunch because that's all the time needed to drink a Slim-Fast.
Thank you for your loyalty to our company.
We are here to provide a positive employment experience. Therefore, all questions, comments, complaints, frustrations, irritations, aggravations, consternation and input should be directed elsewhere.

WE WON!!!
so, the oilers game was a close one last night...but about 3 or 4 mintutes into overtime, Pisani got this wicked awesome goal!!! it was HOT!!!
let me give you a recap...puck was taken into the oilers zone...we were screaming for it to get out of the oilers zone...and, the oilers listened to our screams (or so it seemed) lol...well, then carolina being who they are, start it back towards the oilers zone...well, right around the centre line Pisani comes and steals the puck away from a carolina's player's stick...like, some guy had his stick kinda-controlling the puck and Pisani stole it from him...it was SWEET!!! and, of course, everyone and his dog (incl. the oilers) were already down in the oilers zone, leaving Pisani alone with Ward (Carolina's very very good goalie) who wasn't so good on this stopping our winning goal...he had no defence to help him out, or any other people...it was a battle between Pisani and Ward...and Pisani shot it and in it went...making th goal 4-3 for oilers, with the series now being 3 wins for Carolina, and 2 wins for Edmonton...
and i gotta be honest, it was a beautiful thing, seeing the faces of distraught fans who had only minutes before cheered when the Oilers got a penalty, then cry cause we got a goal...while our guy was in penalty!!!
one little boy was crying, two guys just sat shaking their heads in utter disbelief, one man was consoling his teenage son who looked very upset (he was near tears)...
it was just, overall, a brilliant play :)
GO OIL GO!!!
still gotta win the last two games to get the cup, but we are on our way :)

i'm jut sitting here doing my morning check of emails, and other sites i visit daily, and the worst thing just happened...
i just got this totally overwhelming sense of loneliness...and i started to cry :(
i just have this awful pain inside of me, this pain of being lonely and it just hit me...and it is so awful...
i guess there's just so much going on right now and it all came crashing into me at once...
i guess i should just shake it off for now and go on with my day...
i gotta go eat and have a shower before heading to work...
i now work an hour later, at 10 instead of 9...
i have to leave in just under an hour...dang, i wish it was friday...

saturday was a good day...
i had a pretty darn good day on saturday...i went and picked up our rings...we took them in to the jeweller to have them both sized, and mine also soldered...they look so good :) it's so sparkly :)
right after that, i went and got my hair cut...it is just barely past my shoulders now...i had my hair this way probably 1.5 years ago...it's grown a lot since then and it was time to let it all go again :)
right after that, my niece and i went to the greekfest...there we met up with my cousin and her husband...i was given tickets on friday night, so i figured i would go...i like greek good and it was, truthfully, just nice to be out of the house for the day...whenever i have a day off, i just stay at the house...it was nice to be outside, eat some greek food, kinda enjoy the REALLY REALLY loud music...but it was really nice :)
after that, i decided to go to michael's...i didn't have my 40% off coupon, but figured i wouldn't be buying anything that would be expensive enough to warrant using it...i looked for prima flowers, but they only sell Jolee's for you flowers...so, i bought a bunch of those...they are so cute...and i bought something for nicole...for the circle journal i am doing right now, the theme is "I like Being a Girl" and you are supposed to send an item that will make the next girl feel 'girly'...so, i bought something for nicole...you'll have to wait, nicole, to find out what it is :)
then i went to Dollarama...i love that place...all i bought were a couple packs of stickers (baby and wedding) and some metal tags...
then i came home, and went to sleep...
well, i had a nap...
then i watched the hockey game while i talked to will on the phone...
fyi, WE WON!!!
GO OILERS GO!!!
we needed that win soooooooo bad...i mean, we can't just hand them the stanley cup on a silver platter....if we don't get it (which is REALLY REALLY hope we do), but IF we don't, we are gonna have to fight and not make it too easy...
so, we did win 2-1...
GREAT GAME, BOYS :)
then, at 5:45am on Sunday, we got a phone call telling us that our younger sister in NY has gone into labor and is on her way to the hospital...now we can find out if she has a boy or girl...YAH!!!

McDonald's interview...
so, i was sitting in McD's, oh, about 1-2 months ago (yes, i have been meaning to blog this for that amount of time), and i overheard an interview...
this is the interview from start to finish...
man is probably mid-40's, not especially clean-shaven, and, well, kinda overweight (fyi, i am in no way insulting him, just merely describing his appearance at the interview)
woman is interviewer, man is interviewee...
woman: Hi, there...how are you today?
man: I am good, thank you...and you?
woman: Good, thanks. So you are looking for full-time?
man: Yes, i am.
woman: And you are currently working at "such and such a store" during the days?
man: Yes.
woman: Well, we are actually looking for night-shift workers...from 10 pm-6 am.
man: Oh, that's fine.
woman: Oh, it is?
man: Yes, that is just great.
woman: Alright, how would you like to come in at 5 tonight, and we can start you on training.
man: Great, thanks.
shake hands, and they depart their seperate ways.
wow...all i can say if i don't think i have ever had an interview that easy...maybe i should go work at mcdonald's...all the discounted food i want...maybe then i will actually put on the weight during the pregnancy that i have been losing :)
lol...
i'm actually not THAT desperate to put pregnancy weight on...i'm sure that will come soon enough...
so, i was sitting in McD's, oh, about 1-2 months ago (yes, i have been meaning to blog this for that amount of time), and i overheard an interview...
this is the interview from start to finish...
man is probably mid-40's, not especially clean-shaven, and, well, kinda overweight (fyi, i am in no way insulting him, just merely describing his appearance at the interview)
woman is interviewer, man is interviewee...
woman: Hi, there...how are you today?
man: I am good, thank you...and you?
woman: Good, thanks. So you are looking for full-time?
man: Yes, i am.
woman: And you are currently working at "such and such a store" during the days?
man: Yes.
woman: Well, we are actually looking for night-shift workers...from 10 pm-6 am.
man: Oh, that's fine.
woman: Oh, it is?
man: Yes, that is just great.
woman: Alright, how would you like to come in at 5 tonight, and we can start you on training.
man: Great, thanks.
shake hands, and they depart their seperate ways.

so, i went to safeway yesterday morning in hope of getting some Neo Citran hot drink stuff for cold & flu...i thought it smart to read the label and make sure prego women could have it...yeah, NO!!!
so, i asked the pharmacist why it may not be safe for us to take, so she explained why, and noticing my miserableness, told me i didn't have a lot of options, unfortunately :(
so, she told me basically what i was limited to were throat lozanges (sp?), vicks inhaler (which is my new best friend for the time being anyways), and a vapo rub...yep...my options...
i had so many customers come through my till yesterday telling me that i should be at home in bed, not at work...i had to agree...what more could i do??? lol
so, my voice in cutting in and out...sometime i have it, sometimes i don't...
i am still, of course, having the morning sickness thing, too...so, that is just the icing on the cake...
and that is about it for now in the life of Krystin...
i have another ultrasound scheduled for july 11...we will be able to tell the sex of the baby then (so exciting)...and if all goes well, i should be able to go home around then, too...
i got to talk to my friend, nicole, from sbo for the first time a couple nights ago...dang, she is great!!! for all who don't know, sbo is scrapbookeronline.com...we have a great friendship already...i can tell...she thinks i am great, and i agree...lol
nah, i think she is great, and she thinks i am great...she is just hysterical :)
well, not a whole lot more going on...
aubryn had her dance recital yesterday, but i did not get to see it causei had to work :( hopefully they got it videotaped...
michelle's due date is coming up right quick...kari-lynn's is getting closer too...end of july (heck, i may still be here for that one if immigration doesn't hurry up...lol), and me in december...mum is thrilled about 3 new grandbabies for christmas...well, i guess that is my update for now...
have a happy day :)

WAS THAT A THREAT???
so, we're at work yesterday, a whole bunch of us...and there is what a couple employees have labelled a 'crazy' lady in the store...
now, when they said crazy, i didn't know if she was just weird, had crazy requests/demands, or if she was indeed crazy...
well, we're standing by the tills, and she walks up, and says something to one of the guys...he just kinda shakes his head and looks back to what he's doing...well, she didn't like that...
Don't you shake your head at me!!! PRAISE JESUS!!! You all need to praise Jesus. YOU! AND YOU! AND YOU! (end up pointing at everyone there except me...do i have an aura around me that says i already have Jesus in my life or something??? i dunno know...but apparently, i don't have to praise Jesus, according to her demands...
so, she walks away...goes to the door and goes out the store...
so, a couple of us just kinda look at each other in disbelief and let out, no jokes, a couple of chuckles as if saying, what the heck was that???
well, apparently (this is where the questionable threat comes in), a lady in the lineup didn't like us chuckling about this...at least, not me, anyways...
looks right at me...
Don't laugh. That's how people get shot!!!
WHAT???
i look at her and say, I live in California...i know why people get shot...and i'm sorry, i think it's kinda funny when someone comes up and starts yelling for no apparent reason...it's just kinda funny...
well, she responds....well,that's your choice.
yeah, you're right, it is...
but i responded back, well, to be honest, i'm really not concerned about being shot.
she asked me to repeat myself, so i did...
also adding that maybe if i was in california i might be concerned, but still probably not.
she just told me that was my choice and left it at that...
and of course, after she left, we laughed some more...
what i shoulda said when she told me about getting shot, was 'Well, now...that wouldn't be very Christlike of her to come back and shoot me after telling us all to praise Jesus, now would it?'
but, whatever...it made for a humorous day...
humorous indeed :)

well, it's been a busy past few days...
will got here saturday morning, and then had to leave early this morning...
we had, as always, good times together...
we rented a couple of rooms at the fantasyland hotel...on monday night we stayed in the roman room, and on tuesday night we stayed in the truck room...
i will post pictures tonight or tomorrow...
on wednesyday i had my first prenatal appt...it was great :) we got to hear the baby's heartbeat...it was such an amazing thing to hear...
i get to book my next ultrasound, as well...it will be in a few weeks, so by then they should be able to tell if it is a boy or a girl...(as long as the baby cooperates, that is)
our rings are getting sized and sautered, and that will take a coupel of weeks, so i got some temporary bling on my finger...ha ha ha
i figured, i don't want to look unmarried for a couple of weeks, so we got an inexpensive silver/cz ring...it's pretty hot :) it looks more like an engagement ring than a wedding band, but whatever...it works and it's pretty :)
gads, other than that...not a whole lot more goin on here at the moment...
things are just moving along as normal...
as for immigration, though...last we heard (a couple weeks ago) is that my application has been approved by immigration down in the usa, and now it is on it's way to the us consulate in calgary...that should take a month (from what we understand), and around the end of that month (being mid-june), within the next month, i should have received a letter from the consulate with my appt. time, and be able to by back by mid-july...
so, here's to hoping :)

can't win them all, i guess...
oilers won the first 3 games of the western finals against the ducks...then lost miserabley tonight...well, i guess not miserablY...we did pull ourselves from 3-0 to 4-3...then ducks got a 5th goal, then a 6th...
so, i guess, that could actually be classified as miserably...
i guess it was too much to ask to just win the first 4 games right off the bat and have the series over with, but on the same token, it is asking a lot of the ducks to win the next 3 games...
i mean, all we need is one more win...and within the next 3 games, we should be able to pull it off...
we better be able to pull it off...
i didn't go spend, well, a good amount of $$$ today on oiler's stuff to lose the western finals...
just pray that it doesn't go to game 7...cause i fear sudden death there...i mean, us win 3 games, then ducks win 3...and then be at game 7...i know we pulled it off with detroit like that, but that was pure luck...
incredible...but luck :)
well, all i can say now is...
GO OILERS GO!!!

no more toast for breakfast for me...
maybe no more toast for me EVER!!! (at least while pregnant, anyways)
apparently, toast is not a good food for me to eat...some would say i should have figured that one out when iT MADE me feel sick when i would eat it, but that is not enough for me...
however, BEING sick after eating it is enough for me to say...
NO MORE TOAST!!!
it's ging to be a long 6 more months with no toast...
i like toast :(

so here it is...our baby :)
the ultrasound went very well...i started crying when she showed me the baby...it was so amazing to see it...with it's legs straight up in the air, the heart beating, it's arm lying beside it, and it's big ol' head...
and i gotta say...if the 6cm it says there is the length of the baby, almost 3", i think we got ourselves a tall baby :)
cause at 12 weeks, a baby should be 1.5"-2"...not almost 3"
either way, we are very excited and it was great to see the baby today :)

p.s. sorry for my reflection in the pic...
