all in a day of Heritage Days...

i love Heritage Days...it is the one festival that i make a point of going to every year...something draws me to it year after year...even though i know what countries will be there, even though i know that not all the countries will sell stuff, but just display items from their country, even though i know the food will be the same as last year...i must go anyways :)
one thing you must go for, of course, are the 'elephant ears'...pure goodness, let me tell you :)
the largest ones seemed to be coming from Poland...the line-up was totally worth the wait...seeing the size of some of those things coming out of that booth, made the wait worth it...
we joked amongst each other (richard, me and chris) about how upset we would be if we got scammed by getting a small one...
so, we get up there, and we mention that size does matter...lol
so, the lady tells the lasdy next to her to give richard big ones...i told her i was feeding a baby, too, so i, too, needed a large one...
richard was more than just a little jealous...his 3 were 1/3 the size of mine...it was, no jokes, 12" wide each way...
you could only begin to imagine the looks i got as i walked away from the Poland booth with that in hand...
of course, i took a picture to show you...(and, yes, i wore a lot of that sugar)

that's a whole lotta dough :)

and, of course, how can you go to Heritage Days without getting a picture of the 'mullet of all mullets'?
i mean, this mullet is HOT!!!
i actually followed this woman with my camera in order to get this fantastic shot of such a wonderful portrayal of Canadian pride...cause we all know that the Canadian Passport is also known as the mullet...hee hee :)
it really is a shame i couldn't have discreetly got a pic of another mullet lady in McD's 2day, as well...
drum roll, please...
