so, i am back from BC now and it was so great...
it was so wonderful to see and be surrounded by family and friends :)
we got there friday night...that night they had what they called 'tapas and spirits', so it was basically a night of appetizers, drinks and mingling...i had a lot of gingerale and visited with family that i had not seen in a really long time...
saturday was a day of relaxing by the pool...getting some sun (which i got plenty of)...about an hour b4 the wedding, everyone left the poolside to go get ready for the wedding :) i think all the girls did a great job of being ready in under an hour...GO GIRLS!!!
the wedding was beautiful...it was outside, and it was a very simple ceremony...it was beautiful with the mountain surrounding us...
after that was kinda like a cocktail hour, i guess...everyone mingled, had some appetizers, just hung out :)
there were some introductions of the wedding party, a couple speeches, and then dinner stations were set up...
it was, all-in-all, a very casual event...but very beautiful...the room was lit with candles and dim lights (i will post a couple different pics below)
saturday was a very emotional day for me, though...it was really hard being there without will...then you add the pregnancy hormones, and those are just the icing on the cake :) my cousin, Jen, went to take a pic of me with Cam, the cousin that just got married, and i just started to cry...out of the blue...i cried, i think, 4 times at the reception...would be talking to someone, then i would just start to cry...i t was a very emotion day...
sunday, we went to meet everyone at the lodge for brunch (never had any though), i went to the pool instead...today i put on sunscreen, though...
i played with the kids in the pool and just hung out...great fun :)
we left right around 1pm and went with Jen and her family to the Frank Slide Interpretive Centre...it was neat to learn about the slide that destroyed this town so many years ago...i will post pics of those too probably later today...
well, i guess that is all for now...
