Hello, Krystin! Your baby is now 1 to 2 millimeters long — about the size of a sesame seed — and enjoying his (or her) first huge growth spurt. He (or she) still resembles a tadpole more than anything else, but already the cells for his ( or her) vital organs, including his (or her) kidneys and liver, are forming, and this week his (or her) heart will begin beating. (bracketed her/she is compliments of me...i don't know if it's a boy, and it just seems wrong to call it a he is it's a she...talk about identity crisis!!!) lol
i can't believe it will already have a heartbeat...that seems so crazy soon...
