AT DISNEYLAND

so, we went to disneyland...i don't know how to describe it...we had a great time...there were 7 of us total...my sister, her husband, my niece, will, his two kids and me...we started out early enough in the morning that we did not even need fast passes...we got through 3 lines in good time b4 it een started getting busy...our first ride was piratesof the carribean...then we went in the haunted mansion..that was pretty cool...then we went on splash mountain cause by then it was warm enough...SO FUN!!! we got fast passes for indiana jones...then we split up into two groups and did our own things till it was time to meet up again for indiana jones...to all you people out there...in my person, humble, and well-respected opinion...THIS WAS THE BEST RIDE EVER MADE!!! it was incredinble...holy dang! is all i can say...whoever designed this ride is a genius...i wonder if these ride designers are like song artists in that ever time you buy their cd, they get money...do ride designers get money every time people ride??? it was, in the end, the only ride we did 2 times...and one thing i must say about disneyland, is that they are very efficient in keeping things moving smoothly so your line-up isn't too horrific...so, to say the least, we had a blast!!! we got there at about 8 am when the park opened and then we stayed til almost midnight...the fireworks show at 9:30...WOW!!! i have never seen anything like that...it is the whole 50th anniversary celebration...i steered clear of all mascots as i do find them rather disturbing...some people fear clowns, i fear mascots...so, i kept my distance...it really was neat.

on monday we went to venice beach...luckily our freak from when i first ever went to venice beach wasn't there yesterday...on friday, we went to santa monica pier where they have rides right on the pier...it's pretty cool...

we, me and will, had decided to rent an suv for the trip...we really didn't want to drive in a mini-van, but needed something we could fit 7 people in...so, we went to budget and placed a reservation for a buick mountaineer...nice 7-seater suv...well, we go in, at 5:45 thursday night to pick it up, and guess what??? no mountaineer..only yukon's, i believe...but, whatever it was, only had 5 seats...well, anyone who can do math can say, 'well, that is no good'...which is precisely what we said...so, wou know what we got??? yep...A MINI-VAN!!! now, to minimize out pain, she did mention, that to her knowledge, this one did have a dvd player in it...ok, so, that makes it bearable...we were looking for that dvd player until the minute we returned the mini-van...yep, no dvd player either...oh,well, life goes on...i guess the can gave us a bit more room and i made will drive the whole time...i wasn't gonna be caught dead driving a mini-van!!! ha ha ha

well, that is about it for our trip to los angeles...we had a blast and can hardly wait to do it again...
