Well, a whole lot has been going on in the past while for our family.
There were, of course, Christmas parties galore to go to...so many, in fact, we even skipped one.
Scott got to see Santa and Mrs. Claus at our ward (church) Christmas party. It was not a pleasant experience for him...as I very well suspected. He is, after all, at that age.

Apparently, he was not scarred from the whole incident as here he is moments later sucking on the candy cane Santa gave him.

The next night was the Christmas party that my sil, Christine, hosted. So, up to Sacramento we drove for what would be the first of three trips in 1.5 weeks.
We had a great time. We did a yankee trade (similar in concept to a white elephant gift exchange). I came out of there with an electric griddle, a king size blanket and a clock that isngs Christmas music. Well, I kinda came out of there with it. That's what I got from the gift exchange. Uncle Mike took it home...stealy thief :) I am waiting for it to arrive in the mail.
This is Scott at the party.

And, of course, I have to show you a picture of him just being his cute self. The shirt he is wearing is actually one of the gifts he got at the party. he got lots and lots of clothes and toys.

Okay, I guess we will fast forward a few days to when we went back to Sacramento to pick up Mum and Laurenne at the airport. It was a crazy day. I was a ARF in the morning and I called the Dr. to get Scott an appt. for the next day. He had discharge from his eye. Well, they couldn't get him in the next day, just that day. So, after some scrambling, we got him to the Dr. Turns out he had pink eye. Poor kid. Gets over one thing just to get another. So, quick pharmacy run, before we leave and off we go. On the road to see mum and LJ. Well, of course, we hit traffic in two places, so we ended up being a little over an hour late picking them up. Welcome to California. Hope you enjoy your stay at the Sacramento Airport...lol
After picking them up, ew headed straight back home. So, Thursday we didn't do anything, to say the least.
Friday, we went shopping. Saturday, we went shopping. Sunday, we went to church. Monday, we went shopping. Tuesday was Christmas. Wednesday, we went shopping. Thursday we headed back to Sacramento to take them home. That would be the short version of what we did while they were here. Mum was kinda disgusted that all we did was shop while they were here, but I gotta admit it was kinda nice. I never get to go shopping like that. I can't think of all the specific places we went each day, but the stores included Michael's, Target, Lowe's, Joann's, Dollar Tree, Food 4 Less. Basically, the majority of our time was spent preparing for the holidays.
We would have loved to go somewhere, but Will didn't have any time off except Christmas Day and I don't know how to get to any places...like Yosemite or Disneyland. Plus, it seemed kinda lame to spend almost $100 to get me into Disneyland to not be able to ride any rides.
Christmas day was great. We just stayed home. We had panettone french toast. It was so yummy. It is going to be our traditional Christmas Day breakfast. It was so dang filling.
Here is a picture of our tree on Christmas Eve.

And this is just my lame attempt at copying kari-Lynn to show you Christmas at our house.

The things we do to our poor dog just to amuse ourselves.

And now, of course, Christmas morning. We got all kinds of good stuff. I won't even begin to try to list stuff, but some items included...Nentendo DS and games for Solomon, mini amp and other electric guitar accessories for Camille, Jewellery and Canada blankets for Krystin, air compressor/jump starter and Cabela's gift card for WIll, and clothes and toys for Scott. We gave mum a cd and a movie and Laurenne got a skirt and Audrey Hepburn movies from us.
Those are, of course, just some of the stuff we got. Just too much for me to not only list, but actually think of :)
Scott pulling stuff out of his stocking.

You know what, I was about to post a few more pics of Scott opening presents and playing with stuff, but I will post those on his blog. This post is getting quite long, after all.
So, I guess for now, I will end my post, but I will say...
We really enjoyed having mum and Laurenne here and wish they could have stayed longer. It was a very nice visit and we hope to do it again soon. I cannot wait to get up to Canada in June to visit everyone.

Monday, December 10, 2007

Well, Radlle tagged me and I figure since I didn't do that last one she tagged me on, I had to do this one. I have become so blog lazy it's sad. But I am here to redeem myself. Enjoy the read.

1. Christmas tree up yet? No, but that is not because of me, I would like to add. I have wanted to put it up for a couple weeks now, but Will is procrastinating buying it with me...and he wants to be there with me to buy it.

2. Any Christmas decorations up yet? Well, I have a couple things up...and I brought the box of christmas stuff in from the garage in hopes that having it sit in the living room would make Will realize I am serious when I say that I want the christmas decorations up. So far that tactic has yet to work.

3. What are you asking for, for Christmas? I have a frew things on my list...I firmly believe I am not getting any of them. Well, maybe one of them. I want earrings, cricut cartridges, a bike (just a cheap one til I can get mine back down from Canada), Club Heidi monthly scrapbook kits. And there were a couple other things but I can't think of them off hand.

4.What do you usually do on Christmas Eve? We don't really have any traditions yet, but that is something I want to start. We were watching the original How the Grinch Stole Chistmas on tv last night, and I want to start watching that every Christmas Eve. I love that movie and I think that would be a fun tradition.

5. What do you usually do on Christmas Day? Just open presents. But like I said in the last question, I would love to come up with a tradition for Christmas Day, too.

6. Do you own any christmas clothes or jewelery? Me??? Heck, no. Well, I guess kinda. My mil gave me a bracelet last year for my birthday that is Christmas colours...but that is it. Scott has a santa hat that says I Love Santa.

7. Do you use white or colored christmas lights? We have white lights on the christmas tree, but will have blue lights outside.

8. Do you cook Christmas cookies? Just like Radelle, the extent of my christmas cookie baking is done from the packages you buy in the grocery store. Will had me make tons last year, and we ended up feeding most of them to the dog...cause none of us liked them...lol

9. Do you buy Christmas presents for your whole family? Normally, yes. But this year, we are just doing things slightly different. Will's family is just buying for the 3 youngest kids and doing a gift exchange with adults. We are buying for everybody on my side of the family.

11. Is there a Santa Claus? Of course there is. He even wrote a letter to Scott last year right after he was born...and it wasn't a response letter either. How else would he have gotten a letter from Santa if he hadn't written him first if he wasn't real???

12. Favorite Christmas Carol? Well, favourite christmas song would have to be O Holy Night, but I wouldn't say that is a carol. Would you??? As for carols, I dunno...anything probably but The Twelve Days of Christmas. I loathe that song... :)

13. Would you rather it be a white Christmas, or a warm Christmas? That is tough. I have had both and I think I gotta say I would go for the white christmas. I really miss the snow. My first year in California didn't even feel like Christmas cause there was no snow. Last year, we spent christmas in the mountains so we had snow and it truly felt like christmas. It felt like home. I miss the snow.

14. Was last year a good christmas? Last year was one of the best yet. I had my brand new baby boy, we were up at the cabin in the mountains surrounded by snow. It was fantastic.

15. Which Christmas color do you like better? RED or GREEN? Red, for sure.

16. Do you get a real Christmas tree, or is it artificial? Normally we go real, but this year we are going fake (and small) cause Destructo Boy will pull it over and eat the fallen needles if it is real and sitting on the floor. So we are getting small and fake and putting it up on a table.

17. When you get older, will you get a real or artificial tree? I think we will definitely stick with the real. Just gotta get the munchkins old enough to do that.

18. Do you hang stockings? Yep. Once our family is complete, we are going to get special matching ones. For now we just have the cheap red ones with white trim.

19. When opening presents, does your family all open them at the same time? One at a time. Then we can alls ee what the other person got...and it takes longer. Who wants it to end in 5 mins??? Not me.

20. What is usually in your stocking? I dunno. Nothing specific as of yet. But Will like to get me Ghirardelli chocolate (peppermint bark) and put that in. Plus, or tradition is the orange chocolate ball that you hit to break apart.

21. Do you get up early on Christmas day? I wake up early every day...it's called a little bundle of joy named Scott.

22. Does your family eat breakfast before or after opening presents? I think we will do after, but I will snack first...gotta do that.

23. Do you have a favorite ornament you hang on the tree? We buy a special one every year to add to our tree. The first year, when we got married, we bought one in MOnterey (where we got married), last year was an Irish horseshoe, this year is from the tv show we both love called Corner Gas.

24. What Christmas movie do you like to watch the most? How the Grinch Stole Christmas...the original cartoon...not Jim Carrey.

25. What do you like better, Christmas Eve or Christmas Day? Christmas day. That's when I get to open all my presents.

I guess I am supposed to tag someone....ummmmmmm, Laurenne, Michelle, Leslie, Nikki and Kari-Lynn.
Well, this past week has been crazy.
Scott turned 1 this past Thursday and we had his birthday party on Saturday. To celebrate we took the family to John's Incredible Pizza. It's a pizza buffet with all kinds of pizza.
For his birthday cake I made a really cool 3-d bathtub cake. It was soooooooo cool. The "water" was jello-o jigglers. As creative as it was, though, I cannot claim the thought to this ingenious idea...I found it on the internet. There is a very cool website that has all kinds of cool 3-d cakes. Train, pirate ship, treasure chest, fire truck...the list goes on.
In case you are wondering, the website is www.familyfun.go.com
Scott got lots of cool bath toys for his birthday as well as a new high chair and some clothes and books. He wasn't as interested in opening his presents that day as he was in helping daddy open his anniversary present earlier last week. I thought he would love ripping the paper...but, no interest at all. It could have something to do with the fact that he had no napped yet for the day...and the party was at 5pm.
Anyways, good times were had by all and I just cannot believe my baby is 1,.
ANd as I was justsaying, yes, we celebrated our anniversary this past week as well. It was our 2nd. (Hey, that reminds me, Radelle's anniversary is today...Happy Anniversary, Radelle and Adam, if you are reading this.)
Will took me shopping and bought me a bunch of clothes. I had bought him a certain computer game that he had lost one of the installation discs to, and a couple days before our anniversary, I found that disc. (Go figure.) So, I went and got him season 9 of Seinfeld instead.
Well, I had better not blab tool long here cause I still gotta go update Scot's blog with all the pics.
Ooooooooooh, but here is some more happy news...my mum and sister are coming down here for Christmas. We booked their flights this past week, as well as I got in the mail the letter stating my immigration interview. I am so excited.
This week is busy too...Both Scott and I have dr. appt's tomorrow, then on Thursday, I have Enrichment (we are doing a progressive dinner...we start dinner at one person's house, then go to another person's house for the next part of the meal, and then go somewhere else...never done it before, but it sounds fun), then on Friday, we have our Ward Christmas party at church...which I am going to help set up, then on Saturday is my sil's party up by Sacramento. Then Sunday is my birthday.

Happy Birthday to my dear son, Scott, who is turning 1 today.
How the time has flown. I cannot believe that a year ago today, I was laying in the hospital with meds galore (oh, glorious meds) pumping through my body trying to help the little guy come into this world.
A year ago today, I cried when I saw him for the first time. Not cause he was scary just born baby-looking, but because he was (and still is) so beautiful.
I held him for the first time in my arms.
I kissed my little boy for the first time.
I made my husband a daddy again...he is such a great daddy.
I truly became a mother a year ago today.
What an amazing experience this has all been.
I have grown. I have learned. I have become a better person because of him. He has taught me so much and filled my life with so much joy. I cannot even imagine my life without him. Sometimes, I imagine my life with more sleep, but, let's be honest, that's just my imagination...lol
And always will be.
I have seen this little boy grow from a small person who can barely hold his head up (although he has been doing that since he was 4 days old...my kid rocks!!!) to a little boy (who I still must call my little baby cause I can't stand the thought of my baby not being my baby anymore) who is starting to walk.
Being a mother is such a great blessing and is worth so much. There is nothing that can compare to being a mother. It has different blessings than being a wife (which is also such a great blessing).
So, all-in-all, Scott, I love you more than words could ever say and mama wishes you a very Happy Birthday.
(Now stop being sick so you can have fun at your birthday party on Saturday!!!)

I just wanted to send a big Happy Birthday wish to my sister, Laurenne who is turning 19 today!!!
WOOHOO!!!
I hope you have a happy day, kid :)

So True!!!

You Are Christmas

More than most people, you are able to find magic in life's small moments.
Traditions mean a lot to you, and you tend to be quite nostalgic.
You are a giving, kind person who really understands the true meaning of holidays.
You inspire others to be as altruistic and caring as you are.

What makes you celebrate: Tradition and a generous spirit

At holiday get togethers, you do best as: The storyteller. You like to recount memories with everyone.

On a holiday, you're the one most likely to: Give a gift to everyone you know

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Saturday, November 17, 2007

This here is the 3rd of 4 pages that I have done to add to the scrapbook that I had made up for my Grandma a few years back. This one is obviously our family page. Featured we have Camille and Solomon (individual pics) and then a pic of the whole famiily (including Shawnessy) up at the lake.

Saturday, November 10, 2007

Well, I just thought I would share with you another page that I just did. A few years back, I arranged for a scrapbook to be put together of my dad's side of the family for my Grandma. Well, I figured that we should give it a bit of an update since so much in life has changed since then. Me and one of my sister's has gotten married, 3 of us have had kids, I have step-kids...seemed fitting to add these moments to the book. Well, I am doing 4 pages, 1 wedding, 1 family, and 2 of Scott. This will be the wedding page and the one in the last post is one of Scott's pages. I do have to say that this is probably in the top 3 of my favourite scrapbook pages EVER and I may have to duplicate it for my personal album cause I love it so much and am actually kinda sad I made such a great page to give away...lol
Now, I should also let you know that I will be posting some super cute pictures of Scott on his blog after I am done here, so do be sure to click on his link to see them.

I should also mention that my friend, Radelle, has tagged me and so I need to write 6 random things about me. I know I did 100 a month or two ago, but this should be so much easier...being as it is only 6, instead of 100...lol

1. The thing I like most about being pregnant is the lack of leg hair I grow. So serious. I am not a big fan of shaving, like Radelle, which is fantastic when I am pregos...cause I never have to. I love it. But, one of the things I hate most, is the amount of hair I lose off my head. Seriously, sometimes I wonder how it is that I am not bald when I am pregnant.

2. I am EXTREMEMLY impatient when I am pregnant. I think, overall, I am a patient person, but all that goes out the window when I am preggos.

3. Some of my favourite smells in the whole wide world is fresh cut grass, homemade bread, campfire and the smell of rain...which includes the smell in the air before rain.

4. I CANNOT live without foot lotion. I would almost be willing to say that I would love a basket full of foot lotion for Christmas. The only reason I don't want to really say that is cause there are other things I really want that are more expensive and I would rather have those bought for me, and me buy the lotion myself...lol
Is that selfish??? ;)

5. I really, really wish that I could find the right hair product for my hair that would help the curl that I do have in my hair to stay. Some may say it's more of a wave than curl, but whatever you wanna call it, I still want a hair product for it. Heck, I wish I could find a hairstyle that would work for me. I am so lame when it comes to my hair, cause I just can't do anything with it but be lame and put it in a ponytail. Any suggestions???

6. I honestly feel that Archer Farms makes the best, and I mean THE BEST mint hot chocolate mix I have ever tasted in my life. I drank my first cup of it last night, and I think I was in heaven. So, I decided to drink a cup of it for breakfast this morning, too, and, yep, I was definitely in heaven. I think I will be buying a lot of it.

Now, who am I gonna tag???
Michelle (naturally)
Kari-Lynn
Marti
Kelli
Leslie (maybe this'll get you to blog...lol)
Miranda (but you gotta do it in English so I can read it...lol. At least have the English translation so I can read it)
Patty

So, apparently Michelle is all bitter at me cause I haven't updated in a few days...hmm, I wonder if she has updated recently.
Anyhoo, so I'm typ[ing a nasty-gram response to her nasty-gram to me...lol, when I realize that Scott is being awful quiet. So, I go take a pic of my most recent scrapbook layout for her to see, and then go into my room to see what he is doing, and there he is half under my bed, with the tub of vaseline, OPEN, I might add, wwith it smeared on my body pillow on the floor, on his face and on his hands. To say the least, he got handed to daddy in the shower real fast. lol
I took pics of him before I realized what he had done, so I will post one if you can see that he was playing with the vaseline.

Oh, and this here is pretty dang cool. This plane is called the Liberty Belle. It actually was flown in WW2. It is going around to different airports offering rides (for $450, I believe). Well, it was at our airport so WIll took the camera and took a freakload of pics of it. I thought it would be a kinda cool thing to post.

And in case you are wondering, yes, those are machine guns on the bottom of the plane attached to a little pod (for lack of a better word in my brain at this time) that a guy would sit in a shoot from. I do believe, so don't quote me on that :)Alright, so that "pod" is called a ball turret and the guy who is in it is called a ball turret gunner. One of the most dangerous aspects of being the ball turret gunner is if there was any sort of emergency (say, if the exit latch was broken and he was unable to get out and landing gear would not go down) then basically the gunner would unfortunately be killed when landing. Luckily, it did not happen regularly, but it was known to happen.

I love this kid so much. I cannot even imagine my life without him. I love that he did something very different for these pics. Instead of just trying to grab the camera or stop doing whatever cute thing he was doing cause the camera was there, he actually looked at the camera and smiled...BIG!!! It honestly just melts my heart.
So, here it is. Some pictures of my sweet boy in his halloween costume before and during the halloween party at church last night.
FYI...my plan had been to have him be a bat, but the bat costume I'd wanted was sold, so I went out with the intention of finiding something cheap (cause I ain't spend a small fortune on something he will really only wear 2 times) but cute...and here it was. $12.99.
I do apologize, but against our dark brown couches, it may be difficult to see that he does have on a pair of wings. You will be sure to notice them in some other pics :)

This one I have to say is probably my favorite picture of him from last night. I couldn't point out why, but I LOVE this picture.

This one is of him once we got home and he was playing with his treat bag...the one with all his trick or treat candies in it :)

WHAT A DAY!!!
Okay, so I seriously could have done without the start of my day. Well, I guess the very start was okay...you know, wake up, eat and such, but the next part is what I coulda done without.
I was on my way to my mil's this morning. I left the apt. about 6:45. Let me paint the scene. It takes about 15 mins to get there, so at about 6:55, I am about 2/3 of the way there. Driving down Cedar Ave. southbound minding my own business, but, of course, watching what is going on around me. I am getting close to approching Barstow Ave (running East/West). I am in the inside lane, closest to the median. I have a green light. Barstow Ave. people do not. And we all know that it is perfectly legal to make a right hand turn on a red light. Right hand turn on the red lane, providing that the turn is into the first lane. Common knowledge. Well, I am always especially alert when I see something like this about to happen. I am always freaked out that someone will make that right hand turn and turn right in front of me. So, as a precautionary measure, I typically take my foot off the gas and cover the brake. Well, can you take a guess as to what happened?
Yep, not only did a person make a right hand turn onto Cedar Ave., but decided to turn into my lane, not the outside lane. Yes, folks, that would be right. Right in front of me. And saying that would be wrong, actually. Cause it was more of a her driver's door right at my front passenger side corner.
So, I slam on my brakes...screech and all, baby. Screech and all. Can you guess as to who remains completely oblivious to this and does not even go into the right hand lane. Yes, my friends, the stupid lady who made a right hand turn onto Cedar Ave. without even looking to see if I was there.
Well, since slowing down takes time, and she has yet to move out of my way, I have to turn in towards the median to ensure I don't hit her stupid self.
And I would say she should be thanking her lucky stars I didn't hit her, but she didn't even seem to notice.
She just carried on her way in my lane.
Then, as another little tidbit of funness to this whole event, we are approaching ehe next major intersection (might I emphasize MAJOR) Shaw Ave. Traffic going straight (North/South) has a green light. Traffic turning left has a red...wait let me type that again...RED arrow. Can you take a guess as to who plows right through...goes left without yielding. Oh, yeah, and going through a red arrow.
Some people must seriously get their driver's licenses from a Cheerio's box.
So, of course, my adrenailane is pumping, I'm near tears (cause near accidents do that to me) and my dear, ever so empathetic husband asks if the truck is damaged. So, I tell him no...I never dented his precious truck.
Geek. More concerned aobut his truck.
Of course, he also asks if I am okay and such and tells me he is glad that we (me, Scott and unborn child) are okay and that I was being cautious and did what I could not to hit the bimbo.
So, yeah, that was my morning. Good day.

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MICHELLE, DEAR.
HAPPY DAYS WILL COME TO YOU ALL YEAR.
IF I HAD A WISH THEN IT WOULD BE,
A HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU FROM ME!!!

I hope you have a super happy day. Enjoy Red Lobster (and a possible movie). Happy 26th!!!

Monday, October 15, 2007

Oh, goodness...so much to say.
Well, this past few days has been filled with a fair amount of excitement.
On Friday morning, Solomon and Camille were getting ready for school (we had them), and apparently Scott decided he wanted to go see Solomon. But, instead of crawling, he took his first step to him.
Yep, his first step.
And I was not there to see it.
But I am consoling myself by telling myself that he may not have taken that step if I had been there...who knows??? I may never know.
But all is well in the end, anyways...because, yesterday, being Sunday, he took his first step to me.
Well, that's just 10x better anyways...lol
Then today, I think he has taken another step 2 more times. So, soon enough he will be adding 1 more step. And then 1 more...and then it will never end.
We were at church yesterday and my friend, Theresa, sat beside us with her 2 girls and her little boy, Lincoln, who is 3 days older than Scott. Well, Lincoln, sat right next to Scott on his sister's lap and Scott leaned right over to him and gave him a big hug. It was so dang cute!!! He gave another hug, then Licoln gave him a hug then they gave each other a hug. To say the least, there was a lot of hugging going on :)
On Friday night, we decided to take Camille out for dinner for her birthday. She turned 16 on Wednesday. So, we were supposed to go to a sushi bar, but ended up doing teppanyaki. You know, where they cook the food right in front of you at your table. Very cool. I have never done that before and it was cool. Will took care of Scott the whole time, so that was a really nice change of pace for me...I never had to take care of the baby while eating. That does not happen often...or ever :)
Well, apparently, it was naptime and Scott fell asleep in Will's arms during dinner. It was pretty dang cute. And Will just sat there eating with a sleeping baby in his arms. Like I said, it sure was a nice change of pace...lol
So, all in all, it has been a good past few days :)
Oh, I should also tell you that I am now 18 weeks pregnant and this baby is crazy active. The baby is moving around and kicking so much and it is still so neat to feel. It's still so amazing to think that I am actually pregnant. Still, truthfully, having a hard time believing it...
Well, I do need to get back to cleaning. I have taken a nice long break and still have a lot to do today. Wish me luck.

Monday, October 08, 2007

Well, a whole lot has gone on in the life of Krystin sinec I last posted.
Let's see if I can put this into different sections to make this easier than just babbling...despite the fact that I am good at that :)
Oh, BABY!!!
Well, a few days ago I started feeling the baby kicking. I think I may have felt it before, but a few nights ago was the first time I knew for sure that's what it was. The baby has been kicking a lot. I feel it all the time. Christine, my sil, was joking on Saturday that it was kicking her in the back when I was standing behind her...what a geek...lol!!!
I am 17 weeks pregnant today and the common consensus is..."Krystin, you don't even look pregnant." Yes, I do hear that frequently. I also hear, "I can't believe you are going to know in 3 weeks whether you are having a boy or girl. You don't even look pregnant." Yet, somehow, despite all this, the baby is still measuring 10 days larger than the due date. I figure I am just carrying even farther back into my back that I was with Scott. When I was pregnant with Scott, I pushed my way through regular clothes until 16 weeks, well, here I am 17 weeks and still having no issues at all with wearing regular clothes.
Whoever said that you show earlier the second time around was obviously not me.
WEDDING!!!
My bro-in-law's wedding was this past weekend. It was a very pretty and simple ceremony that took place in the Japanese Gardens in Fresno. It was a very pretty setting. The parking was absolutely horrific because in the park that the Japanese Gardens are in, there was a race going on, so, yeah, no parking. Will ended up dropping us off and went looking for parking. The reception was very nice as well...very casual and personal. I made a grande entrance when I tripped in a hole on the ground and rolled my very well repaired ankle in my lovely high heels. I was not injured...lost a little pride, but only a little. I had to walk past that hole a few other time, and managed to watch very closely so as to not have a repeat performance.

While at the reception, Will thought it would be funny to give our son prison tattoos...Int his photo, you may get the sense that Scott is wondering what the heck is going on.

And the end result...one hand saying LOVE the hand hand saying HATE.

SCOTT BEING SICK.
This past couple weeks has been so hard on Scott. Last Friday, not this one that just past, but the one before, so 1.5 weeks ago, Will told me I should take Scott to the dr. to see if he has an ear or sinus infection. He was just acting like something could be wrong, so I called at 2:40 and got in at 3:15. Well, it turned out Scott had not only an ear infection in one ear, oh, no, but he had an ear infection in both ears. Poor kid. I took him to the pharmacy to fill his prescription and while waiting, decided to buy daddy a blue star mylar balloon. Well, I don't think Scott was gonna be too willing to give up that balloon to daddy. He was having the time of his life playing with that balloon...walking up and down the aisles bopping that thing and laughing. Even the pharmacists couldn't believe he was not feeling good with the way he was so excited about that balloon. It really was so cute. This video is only a small look at what he was like in the store. He was much more excited in the store than in his car seat.

Well, that is really all I can think of for now to say for an update, but before I go, I would like to take a moment to say,
HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all of my friends and family in Canada who are celebrating today. I am hoping to continue our tradition of going to Marie Callendar's for turkey dinner tonight. And since Kari-Lynn posted a list of 10 things she was grateful for, I would like to do the same.
In no particular order, of course.
1) A wonderful family. Both the family that I have been blessed to start...my husband, my son, my soon to be born child, and my step-kids, Camille and Solomon as well as the family that I was born into. It took my a few years of being moved out of home to really appreciate them and it took moving to California to TRULY appreciate them. You guys have done so much for me and I am truly grateful for that.
2) A place to live. I hate living in an apartment, I REALLY truly would rather be living in our own house, but I know it is a blessing to have an apartment. So many people don't even have that.
3) Milk. Okay, so I am sure a few of you may be looking at this one with a perplexed look on your face. Let me explain. When I am pregnant, I get heartburn. And I get it BAD!!! Milk was my lifesaver when I was pregnant with Scott and it has already started providing me with relief during this pregnancy. So, yes, I am grateful for milk.
4) A washer and dryer...but mostly the washer. I am so glad that I do not have to wash my clothes in a wash basin...I can't stand getting my hands wet. It bugs me so bad...which makes me want to make no. 5 grateful for a dishwasher, but I won't. I just hate washing anything with bare hands...really, I am glad we have rubber gloves in this day and age...lol
As for the dryer, I don't mind hanging clothes on the line to dry, but WIll is not such a big fan.
5) Education. I don't have any post-secondary education, but I remember being in school just loving to learn. I was not always good at learning, it was a struggle, but I loved learning.
6) Being Canadian. Honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way. I love being Canadian. I would not trade my citizenship for anything in this world. I am so proud of my country.
7) Music. My life would not be complete without music in it.
8) The gospel. I have lived parts of my life not living the way that the Church teaches and I have come back to living the teachings of it. I can truly say that I am so grateful for the gospel and what it has taught me in my life. I love knowing what I do. I love knowing that mny family doesn't have to de seperated at death. I love knowing it can be eternal. I love knowing I can be forgiven for bad choices I make. I love knowing that God loves me and that he loves me and all of us so much that He sent his Son to die for us. I love that God has given us a prophet to lead us and guide us and give us diretion to get back to a loving Heavenly Father.
9) I am grateful for the song, I am a Child of God. This song is by far Scott's favourite song...and is quickly becoming one of my favourites, as well. The lyrics are so soothing and give me hope every day.
10) I am grateful for Marie Callendar's so that I can go there on Canadian Thanksgiving and eat a turkey dinner without having to cook it myself.

Okay, so here are some videos of Scott...
This first one is of him waving "HI".

This one is Scott eating an ICEE which is basically almost the same as a slurpee.

This one is Scott eating baked taters and just being a goof :)

And, last, but not by any means, least...this is a video of Scott walking. Okay, so he is using his walker toy, but it still totally counts as walking...esp. since this was only his 3rd time doing it...(and the first two times only consisted of 4 steps each). I am so proud of my big boy.
Mum,
I know you should be looking on here today for video of Scott walking, BUT I never get to uplaoding them last night and they are taking too long this morning to upload and I have to go...so I promise when I get home, I will upload the videos and post them on here...so, either you can see them later this afternoon, or you can see them tomorrow :)

I have wanted to share this video for quite a while now, and I wish I could figure out how to post the actual video, but I don't know how to go about it.
So, instead, I am just posting the web address, and since it likely will not just be a click on the link thing, just copy and paste it into the address bar.
Hope you enjoy it :)

An Ode to My Family.

You know, this is something I just gotta say...
I am amazed at the overwhelming amount of love I feel for my little family. I just look at a picture of Scott and my heart just melts and words could never describe the incredible love I feel for him. He is such an amazing child and Will and I have been so amazingly blessed to have him in our lives.
I look at pictures of him and I just laugh and want to cry, and my heart melts as I think of how beautiful he truly he...He was blessed with such a sweet and gentle spirit and I just love him so much.
And Will. Things have been so great between us. He is such a good man and he does everything he can to protect us and keep us safe and make sure we have everything he can give us. I love him so much and he is so good to me...
He is such an amazing father. I kinda liked that he had kids from a previous marraige cause I could see ahead of time the kind of father he is...and he is truly wonderful. He loves his kids so much and he would give them (and me) the world if he could. So far now, he gives us as much of the world as he can.
He truly is wonderful and I am blessed to be married to him.
We are, of course, excited to be expecting our second child together. This baby, like Scott, was a big ol' surprise...apparently that's what my pregnancies are like...big ol' surprises. Gotta love it!!! Truthfully, I wouldn't have it any other way.
I love my husband, and my son to death and I can hardly wait to give just as much love to our new child (due Mar. 17).
